I’ve wondered about Perry coming back, seems like he wanted head coach also. That being said Perry all in as recruiter/ assistant is definitely what you want. Penn State has had continuity in assistant coaches , that has been a big part of their success

His dad told me about 6 or 7 years ago the plan was for him to take over when John retired. Times change and not sure he made the leap to be Head Coach material.
Head coach today is a lot of bull s__t , Perry Caldwell Harding in the room working with athletes getting paid and acknowledgment better job (like Cunningham Varner)
Casey probably makes $400-500k. Why do anything else? He has a great job with none of the political problems a HC deals with.
I watched it. Good info and pretty much what I been saying. DT talks seem to be very real. Dont know DT’s interest level tho. Coleman knows nothing is guaranteed so it’s all a waiting game.
According to that we have hired an executive firm to do a search. We have been in talks with DT the last few days and they don’t know why he wouldn’t take it other than he’s so ingrained in state college. They think it’s a great fit and seemed very intrigued by it.
They also somewhat alluded that Cunningham isn’t an option. Possible he got a call and declined is how I read between the lines. It’s a good chat. If you’re on this board talking wrestling, odds are you’d get your monies worth on a rofkin sub lol
Also, the Cael to OSU stuff a few years ago is crazy

It doesn’t sound like money is the issue. Seems like they’re just making sure they leave no stone unturned. Not sure anyone outside the Caels group would have a lot heavier weight than CS though so this dragging on is odd.

It does and will probably affect the roster a little and will sting but you have to let DT bring in and/or build his staff.
