Cal must have called in a favor to try to make Arky look cool and trendy since the natives are already getting restless…Cal is all smoke and mirrors and it’s becoming harder to sell the hype. Hopefully they take the L tonight to a bad Miami team

As for Wall… I’d almost put money on him being at a UK game this year. He was the first to say he was still a wildcat and wanted to be around the program and get tk know pope.

Just heard the guys calling the game state that Cal will always go after the 5-star players because he is into changing players lives. Why do these guys repeat Cal's garbage? 5-star players don't need Cal to change their lives. Most of if not all of these guys would go to the NBA even if they never met Cal. Cal has never really improved the play of a single player he has ever had the pleasure of misusing.

It doesn't really matter what Wall or any of the rest of Cal's former players do or what colors they wear because none of that will change the history books of where they played.

Woof. This game is making it very clear it was time to move on. Now even non-UK fans are seeing it.
Cal's done. Needs to retire man.

There's a very good chance Cal asked him to do this.

Whatever. I said this before, it shouldn't surprise people. None of these guys were coming to UK if not for Cal. Doesn't mean they don't call this place home.. but yeah, they're going to follow their coach.

Pretty sure he was at the Duke game and back with our guys too

**** I love him being at Arkansas. Love. It.
I love that I have to choose the "Top 25" drop down for Kentucky scores on ESPN, but still have to go back to "SEC" for Cal and Arkansas.

Hope they lose tonight and most nights.

This is Cal we're talking about here. He never "storms back", and if it appears he is, he will suddenly stall and the other team will pull away again. It's all junk.
Yeah they really struggle against anyone with a pulse. Miami is solid but not great. Of course, I don't want to speak out of turn and jinx us. We need to win tonight and prove our Duke win wasn't a fluke.

I think a lot of people are forgetting John Wall is a UK alum. Officially. He came back to finish his degree.

John Wall is a Cat. Period.
I actually didn’t know that. Good info.

I still wish these guys wouldn’t wear other apparel. I get being committed to your coach. I just couldn’t imagine doing it.

All good. Most of these guys don't come back to finish for obvious reasons. John Wall did for a couple of reasons: 1. He loves Kentucky. 2. He did it for his late father, whom he promised he would get his college degree.

John Wall is the one Cat I will never doubt his loyalty; he is a very very good dude. When I grow up, I want to be like John Wall.

Some of you folks need a bit of therapy. Wall was one of the first of Cal’s players to come out and say he’s a Cats fan no matter where Cal is coaching. At the same time I’m sure he’s close to Cal and wants him to succeed. There’s nothing wrong with that at all.

I liked your info & respect your opinion.

I also don’t like him or any player wearing a conference opponents or rivals gear. That goes for any of Pitino’s guys who wore U of L stuff as well.

IF one of Coach Pope’s former players came to Rupp & had BYU gear on, who would boo him? You know why he’s there. Especially if UK isn’t even playing BYU. He’s there to cheer on & honor his former coach. There’s no need to wear any team gear. Dress in street clothes or wear gear from the school where you played for said Coach. It’s just weird. I’m trying to imagine Larry Bird going to watch Magic play during his comeback & wearing a Lakers jersey.

We can all have our opinion on that. Never been to therapy and doubt I’ll start over this 😂

Right?!? You want to change someone's life? Recruit 2 and 3 star players and coach them into the NBA. Then I'd be impressed and think he's really helping kids.

I will ALWAYS root for Calipari until he gives me a reason not to.
and all of their (our former) players.
I DO see why he had to leave.
I CANNOT see us this successful with him.

Slight disagree. Had Cal gone to say an out of conference team or decided to go to say like Iowa St or something? Sure, I would easily pull and be happy for Cal. He's a rival SEC school right now. Can't root for him much (unless they play KU, EweTee, Duke, UNC, etc)
