What a disaster that trade has been so far for the Royals. He's given up 5 runs on 3 home runs thru 4 again tonight. Hope he gets it together before the postseason or he may not even get to pitch.

Sorry it hasn't worked out for you. Just cut him and let the Reds pick him back up for peanuts. :D

Royals are really stumbling in September. I hop they get the ship righted before the playoffs.

The record in meaningless games doesn't bother me.

But Kaz is right about Cueto. I honestly would not place him on the postseason roster at this point.

The Royals gave up prospects for that bum. Ughhh. Royals will limp into the playoffs and probably not go far. No one is hitting either and the starting pitching sucks. I'd rather see Guthrie back in the rotation and put Cueto in the pen.

Theyve scored 22 runs their last 2 games.

Yeah, in Camden Yards. You and I could probably get homeruns there.
Prior to Baltimore, it's been 15 runs in 6 games. They had a one outburst against Detroit, and that was about it. They're not lighting it up.

My mistake, they did have two blowouts against Detroit. Regardless, Over the past week, they've been struggling.

Cueto had been a Twin killer. Royals got him for the Twins because at the point they traded for him I think the Twins were still a threat. Then all the injuries happened to the Twins starting pitching and Perkins. Hindsight is 20/20.

Will be a short playoff run for the Royals if they don't get the pitching issues cleared up and that means starting pitchers getting you further into the game than the 3rd or 4th inning. The bullpen cannot be expected to pitch 5 or 6 innings every night. If people don't start getting some timely hits too that will make the run short.

Saw him pitch against Baltimore and his fast ball never got above 94. Most all pitches were 93, with little movement. They blasted him. I'm a little worried if the Royals believe they can ride him thru the post season.

Was listening to a Reds game on satellite radio and they also mentioned Johnny was supposed to show up at a signing event in Kansas City last week. People showed up 2.5 hours early in 90+ degree weather to guarantee an autograph. He never showed and people in KC were very upset. They said that is not like Johnny so something is definitely going on. Not a good thing when you are going into free agency. In a couple of weeks the Royals will need to pick their 25 man playoff roster. You wonder if he will even be on it.

He's gotta be hurt and is hiding it. I can't see any other explanation. I expected a small drop off in his numbers coming to the AL, but this is crazy. Whatever the issue is, they got 3 weeks to get it fixed.
