As good as he was against Houston in game 5, he was that bad tonight. Probably not good to pitch him in Toronto the way he has given up home runs since coming to KC. I hope he hasn't woken up the Toronto bats.

I wanted the Red Sox to pick him up when he was a FA but now I am glad they didn't. He can have moments of brilliance and then nights like tonight when he appears to be somewhat of a head case.

Yep. As great as he is early on in the season, I'll be glad when the Royals unload him. IF we get past Toronto, I just need Cueto to throw one great game and then he can move on. I don't think KC wins tomorrow night with young on the mound. But we'll throw Volquez on Wednesday, and I feel good about getting a win in Toronto with him on the mound. Then we get Ventura on Friday back at Kauffman. I'm taking the Royals in 6 for the ALCS.

Hirschbeck is very consistent behind the plate. Consistent at being inconsistent, that is. He must have pocketed a lot of coin on the overs.

Cueto has probably cost himself a lot of $$$. Hopefully Young can keep the ball down tomorrow night. I love what he has done for the Royals this year. He is capable of a pretty good start, but gets rocked every now and then. Gotta give Medlen credit tonight. He pitched well.

Who would have thought at the time that between Cueto and Zobrist, Zobrist would end up being the more valuable pickup.

Zobrist was playing great baseball before he got hurt. He has been absolutely fantastic since arriving in KC though. I really hope we can sign him. He is just an all around ball player. Also super humble guy that just keep his mouth shut and completes. Love the example he sets.

His strike zone was all over the place, both sides. Hard for any pitcher to get in a groove. Talking about game 4, Chris Young scares me, fly ball pitcher. Steroid Jays gotta be liken that.

Young vs. Blue Jays at the Rogers Center seems like a recipe for disaster. Then again, if there was one pitcher who you know will have the best game plan necessary to get a win, it will be Young.

The Royals just need to get 1 of these next 2 in Toronto. I don't believe the Jays can win 2 in Kansas City.

I'm nervous as well but I really hope Young pitches well. Love the guy. Just saw some comments of how he is pumped to have an organization that believes in him enough to give him this opportunity. Great stuff.

If KC takes one in TO then the Jays are done.
I don't know why you guys are worried about Young when we're putting up Dickey, who is totally sucking right now. 4 runs in the top of the first - I'm not liking the Jays' chances.

The thing with knuckle ball pitchers, when they are on, it is almost impossible to hit. When they are off, you score 4 runs in the 1st.

The Royals just took a dump all over the Blue Jays.

The ironic thing about pitching him in Toronto is the very first game he pitched for the Royals was in Toronto, and he pitched pretty well, 6.0 innings and 3 runs. If it weren't for the Royals bats going quiet late in that game (they were up 6-3 when he left) and Ryan Madson having a rare bad outing, giving up 3 runs to tie the game, he would have done pretty well.

I said when both trades happened that I loved the Cueto trade, but players like Zobrist win championships. Great locker room guy, great teammate and can play multiple positions on the field. He fits in perfectly with the Royals.
