Really happy to see Johnny Stanton having success at UNLV. I enjoy watching Mountain West football when it's on. Hope to finally get to watch this kid play.

I don't think he took time off. I think he played JC ball and had a good year then went to UNLV. Not totally sure but I thought that was the case.

When I say time off, I'm talking about several months without the rigor of D-1 7 on 7 workouts and lifting etc....I didn't mean that he headed to the woods for a year.

Former Nebr coach Garrison is also coaching at UNLV. He went there along with Barney after Bo was fired.

I think he was doing all of that still at JC but who knows.

Stats not fantastic. QBR not fantastic. However had UNLV at 28-21 at UCLA at the end of the 3rd quarter. Furthermore he had a sure 70+ TD pass dropped (flat dropped) in the 1st Quarter. Continue to wish him the best and cheer him on.

He won a national championship last year at the JC level. Happy for him. I wish he would've made it here.
