I know there are other coaches and maybe some refs on this board but that joint possession call on the muffed punt seemed wrong.
So the punting team is still on offense, NU punted, it gets muffed, scramble for the ball. No one has taken possession yet. NU is still "on offense", both players have control of the ball, so why would possession be awarded to Michigan?
Wouldn't it go to the team on offense OR wouldn't it be better if the refs just actually made a call as to who had it?
