I'm not taking anything away at all from Gerry as I loved watching him play. He started his career under Pelini as a LB his Freshman year.

And it didn't go so well for him.

He was put in a tough position. Out of position and undersized for a linebacker playing as a true freshman. IIRC, he played BUCK LB so he was off the field a lot when we would bring an extra DB.

Gerry was a Pelini guy, I know Frost wouldn't have put up with it. Gerry had he still been around, probably would've been one of the transfers as Gerry was about Gerry and was not about the Nebraska way. IMO

Hard to say. I don't see why Frost wouldn't put up with Gerry though - Frost gave everybody a chance. Whether or not Gerry would've responded positively to Frost is another story.

Wasn't a fan of how Nate finished at NU, but we could certainly use him this year. He would be our best DB hands down.
