Also Mike Edwards is 6. Not often you see 2 cats on a list like that.

Y'all think being on this list is a good thing? I'd prefer we didn't have anyone in the top 25. Think about it.
Yes. Usually if you have a lot of tackles it means you're a good player. Sure there are exceptions, but not always.

This is like putting a notch in my belt for all those times sitting on my couch with cheetos and lotion and.... Well you get the idea. I'd have a whole wall of belts with notches.

Not something to boast about.

If you let a team run 100 plays, they score 10 0r punt 10 times, you've got 91-95 tackles a game. If you hold them to 3 and out every time, you get 30 tackles a game. Having 2 guys there, including a db, is definitely not encouraging. A safety with so many tackles means resetting the chains a lot.

Jones is one of the few guys on D who gets it, but if we were any good at getting off the field who wouldn't have this many tackles.

Maybe Jones is just that much better then the rest of the team.

He's a beast, no doubt. Point remains, guys with a lot of tackles usually are 1) good players on 2) bad defenses. If you can't get off the field, you get a lot of opportunities to make tackles.

He was my pick in the "who would surprise" thread at the beginning of the year even when he was behind Eli Brown on the depth chart simply because you can't teach that kind of speed and aggressiveness. Obvious then he had to be o the field.

He is quick and understands the game and angles. One of the few that could move to safety at the next level like McCree. Hope he fills out. Good point on Eli. Hoping he comes on and gives us two lbs like JJ

......and sometimes it just means your D is on the field too much; more snaps = more tackles.
