You had me completely until the last 7 words. I think JQ will be a much better NBA player but I agree 100% that MM is a headier player and better on offense. Also, MM is really coming along as a shot blocker, already better than I ever expected.

If he has ANY aspirations for playing in the NBA, he can’t play! Defensive bench players are a dime a dozen in the league, except JQ will not be that great defensively in the NBA! Dude will never make a starting rotation for any team that drafts him, and his advisors know it.

Dude is never playing again IMHO. Knee swelling only is going to occur maybe for the rest of his life or for a while at the very least. It’s something that needs to be played thru and rehabbed after that game with ice and heat. He’s had plenty for rest for typical swelling. Is it more? Maybe but again his dad’s comments lead me to believe he is shutting it down.

I’d love to have Kam, Moreno, JJ, JQ if healthy, and Chandler. Maybe Lowe if he would be a backup guard and is healthy. I wouldn’t mind seeing Hawthorne with some muscle on him.
I’m a Moreno fan too. I’m not arguing that.
But a healthy JQ is far better than Moreno now.
It’s a moot point because JQ is not healthy nor does it seem he’s going to be.
And now he’s way behind if he is cleared to play.
I said earlier this season that Moreno has first round upside. Someone argued against that pretty strongly.
Can you show me a game where JQ played better than Moreno did against Tennessee in Knoxville? Did JQ have a game with 5 blocks last year?

If he were smart, he would come back next season and get things right and make a push into the upper part of the draft after next season. I can’t even imagine having he and Moreno together. Nobody would be even close to that.
Of course we know what the plan is. End the season and exit probably per Dad’s wishes. Leave no doubt in the minds of people doing the drafting, and make them sweat that somebody is gonna pick him in front of them.

If JQ does come back and play again, I sure hope you are right. Would love for him to be great for us. But this season is slipping right on by, and he better get his S.hit together soon. But I'm not convinced that JQ is far better then Moreno. Some time that head on the shoulder, makes up for atheletisim.
If his knee is still swollen at this point, he might want to get that checked out.

I’m see an improved Moreno every game. It looks like his free throw form is much better. He’s battling too and taking some lumps.
What’s the chances that some big name programs make contact with Moreno after this season?

Except it's not anywhere close, and the only reason it seems it might be is that people are obsessing about it just as much. If everyone just assumed he'll play when they're sure about his knee holding up, instead of ragging on the kid and expecting him to play whether they knee is 100% or not, it wouldn't even bring Sharpe to mind.

Moreno is no doubt a more skilled player right now. JQ is on another level overall as full court defender when healthily if which he’s not. Moreno is way better as a scoring threat and passer.
I’m saying. He would be smart to stay one more year healthy and go in a weaker draft. This draft is so strong they may not take a chance on him so raw with damage to his knee. He may fall 15-20 spots in this draft.
They could. I don’t see him putting his name in the portal for them to have a chance. There’s always tampering. I don’t see him going anywhere. He’s Blue.

Playing against Alabama wasn't a good thing for JQ the way they get up & down the court, the minutes he played in that game were fast paced & probably caused his knee to swell.
If JQ comes back, great, I think he would do more with the minutes Garrison gets than BG does. But if he doesn't play again this season, I couldn't care less. All I think we get from this team is an 18-19 win regular season and maybe a win or two in the big dance. But I can have fun rooting for a team that is out there scrapping despite being down 3 kids all day long
