Signing players that are injured already and paying them NIL money at the level we are hearing is equivalent to takin that money and going to the nearest crap table at a casino and hoping you hit it big.
Risk vs reward? I support the young man knowing what this surgery can do to a player and having swollen knees months after being cleared, but his NIL should have been constructed to number of games played or something to that effect.

We need JQ to have any legit march chance. At the same time it seems like he is gonna watch until he determines whether we are going to be competitive or not. Saturday is a mammoth game. We win and we will probably get to 5-2 in sec. Lose and I think the ole miss (who is better than Missouri) and Texas become very difficult home games, that’s how the mentality of the team works.

That is my point. Why would you just hand out NIL money to a player that is already injured without some sort of protection in just his case?
Like I said, it is like going to a crap table hoping you get something in return.
Is this method of recruiting worth the risk versus reward?

I assumed so as well. Geesus what a cluster. I mean, I get it, don't ruin his health even trying to get on the floor to perform if you're injured. It's like Sir Charles said, your're either injured or you're HURT.

He's hurting with swelling, I get it. We're out Lowe PERMANENTLY and Q will be a game to game decision. Probably less of for awhile longer until hopefully he can play a full game. IF we even get that this entire season.

This happening TWO seasons in a row, and things not looking better for a potential year three ?!?!?!

This is not what was advertised and promised and it has backfired in the total OPPOSITE direction of where it should be going.

It's unacceptable. People should be falling on their swords at the University. Barney first and foremost. PLEASE.

this is unacceptable to allow to ever have happened in the first place.

This season needs to be salvaged however possible. Play your best ball of the season and goto Knoxville and win.

Just win, however possible. Whatever it takes.

That is all.

Roll with MM, AJ.
When defense, depth, and blows are needed, go with BG and Mo

JQ is beginning to be a distraction
Hope he heals, but this becomes well……
He's SS2.0, he only played because he wanted to prove to NBA that the ACL wasn't an issue, but then he got exposed as not being a very good player and that's why he's not playing. He played very cautiously when he was in there, in such a way to minimize exposure.

He looked explosive against St. John’s. Games following not so much. I don’t think he decided to dog it. I think the swelling is bothering him.

Reminds me more of Jarred Vanderbilt than Sharpe. Quaintance at least gave it a go for a few games before being like nah, I’m good.

Maybe a new strength & conditioning coach could help with our injury history. We may have the best and just being unlucky but it could be looked into. Just hoping for a better outcome next year.
