Really, UK was without it's two best point guards.
JQ is like a 45% FT shooter, just wanting to warn everyone.
So you’re saying he will lift our team average?
I've been saying the same thing. If he hasn't improved his FT shooting quite a bit, it'll be hard to keep him on the floor in some games. The bright side is, he's had almost 9 months to work on his FT shooting.
Umm hate to break it to you but Garrison shot 53.5% last year and Moreno doesn’t look to be much better with that stroke!
Our C’s are going to clank A LOT of free throws, might as well play the one that can impact the game on defense.
He tore his ACL at the end of February. It’s going to be a while still.
I’m a Vikings fan and we have one of our stars that tore his ACL(and MCL) last year. They started practicing him in the summer and all the fans got excited and moved his timeline up in their mind. He continues to have problems with it.
All that to say, JQ and UK need to really slow the positivity. Especially when we lose games due to our C position there’s going to be a real push to get him out there. Be patient. Figure out how to maximize Moreno, BG, Jelavic at the 5 for as long as you can.
I'm still very optimistic about our frontcourt and team as a whole. As well as when JQ gets in the lineup. I still say we'll see him in December. Last night was ugly but there were several factors that all just made it worse when combined. If we coulda hit a few shots from outside, it may have changed the game a lot more than just the point values. Gtown was able to be hyper aggressive and play the passing lanes because we had nobody to distribute the ball and nobody to hit shots, even at a modest clip. But yeah, it was fugly!
