Jqs camp not happy 😬

JQ couldn’t camp under the hoop with Bama stretching the floor. Even when he did he got out worked for some balls and didn’t impact shots.
Not holding it against him. Going to take time getting back in the swing of things. Especially if you believe Pope in just how bad he tore that knee up
Jasper is not ready for prime time. He just wants to shoot and that is it. Needs time.
See I don’t think that’s true all the way, I’d take last years players 100/100 over this one.
Pope will likely never have a group of covid era super-seniors again. Last year feels more like an exception than what should be expected of future players he brings in.
Why does everyone say that last year’s team was a lot less talented? We are about half way through the season and I haven’t seen evidence of that yet.

This year Pope has more “potential” with guys like JQ, Moreno, Johnson. But what’s the old saying “potential gets coaches fired”….well just look at this board and online for firing talk!

Big difference between JQs performance against St John’s and Alabama. He’s got to get mean and hungry and quit letting people outbox him in the post. That’s effort. I’m leaning Moreno at this point.
Wouldn't worry about anyone being happy. No one on the team is on a long-term contract and is going to be forcing a trade. They are all on one-year deals, and I assume they will all leave every year.

Pope can only coach with skilled "buy in players." Those who can dribble, pass and shoot and are surrounded by other players who can dribble, pass and shoot. He is completely lost when he doesn't have his niche, which is not the sign of a good coach.

As a dad and as a coach, thsese type of comments are a cancer to your kid, and to the team your kid is playing.

Talking about JQ the kid has nice athleticism that you can’t teach but the kid can’t shoot lick…or doesn’t know to box out …….one would wonder what did the dad teach JQ and he has a little boy? I hope he was not focusing on criticizing JQ coaches for not playing his son the way he thinks is best….

As well as Lowe played today the UK offense was Lowe dribble around and go to the rim. So much one man dribbling. Difference between Lowe and Aberdeen is Lowe can get to the rim. No offensive plan.

It looked like he had no help today. We are just WAY behind in cohesion. We can't beat teams like Alabama that have their routine down.
I don’t think pope will be back. There is gonna be so much pressure on whomever the ad is to find a way to split with pipe amicably. Pope is gonna start getting it from former players and before you know it Derek Anderson will opine on why he isn’t given a chance to coach uk.
