Miss. St signed and Dodgers first rd pick turned down 2.3 million to play at Mst! How do these schools do it?

That's the kind of crap Henderson never got done at UK. He'd get commits from big time recruits but most went pro. Remember the year where we had Greene, Clifton, and Hollon were drafted and we lost all of them? 2013 I believe. That was brutal and left us with only like 2 or 3 pitchers in that class. To be fair, we did get Brown and Salow in that class, but could have been deadly with any of those first three.

CB3... Let's just be brutally honest. Bb is much bigger at MST and this kid had always wanted to play there

That's of course why they pulled it off. Still, there are a lot of teams that grab top 100 recruits and bring them in. Doing that is what springboarded Vandy.

Carter Stewart, the 8th pick in the draft who did not sign with the Braves, is also a Mississippi State signee. Although he might opt to go the JUCO route.

Ole Miss and UCLA had the other two first-rounders that didn’t sign.

Gotta hope Ming can get us there. Very worried about next season.
Yep, we are going to need Collette, Thompson, R Johnson, Shinn, Hill, Coleman, and some newcomers to step up Big Time to even be competitive in the SEC.
It is a shame to open up the new stadium with an average or so squad, and dampen the enthusiasm that was built after the super 2017 season !
