Well - another big twist in the long-running saga:

AP: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will plead guilty in deal with US and be freed from prison

Reuters: Julian Assange to be freed after pleading guilty to US espionage charge

Mr. Assange's Wikipedia entry if you need a basic recap (I've followed this ordeal closely but still needed a refresher): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_Assange

And a basic summary of the WikiLeaks saga from Wikipedia, another good refresher: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiLeaks

So what's your opinion of Mr. Assange? Do you think his exposures are heroic, or do you think the violations of personal privacy and leaking of classified information (and occasional promotion of misinformation) do more damage than good?

You ever wonder why politicians were dumb enough to use known pedophilia code words in their emails?

Feel like that should be a standard question asked to every person/politician who said they were gonna get cheese pizza and hotdogs in a context that made no sense.

Also, Seth Rich deserves justice.

PIZZAGATE!
I take it you don’t wonder why politicians were dumb enough to use known pedophilia code words in their emails.

I also take it you don’t wonder why so many politicians (and others) were flying to a known child traffickers private island.

I’m sure those 2 things were just weird coincidences happening at the same time.

What you're describing is a far right conspiracy theory known as Pizzagate. Lonely nuts online read emails from politicians they dislike about lunch orders and created a fictional story in which pizza toppings were code for underage boys and girls. It lead to one nut taking a gun into a pizza place in DC and demanding to see their basement because I assume that's where he believed the children were kept. He was informed the business had no basement and the police were called. I have a feeling that nonsense started on 4chan. I recall the political thread buying into it back in the day as well. My advice is to get out of those weeds because if you're still trying to make Pizzagate a thing in 2024, might I suggest getting a hobby of some sort? Just a suggestion instead of believing pepperoni and cheese means "little blonde boy" or some weird ****. Have a good one.

4chan starts some of that stuff to troll. They target people like those in the political thread.

Most of us don't think the pizza thing was code for pedophiles, but Liberals blow it wide open as if all of us think that.

Just like they take one word......"bleach" or the quote "I'll be a dictator on day one" and completely distort it.

#scum

(They asked if he'd be a dictator and he said only for one day....on day one he said he'd dictate closed borders and drill baby drill)

Many powerful and well known people are rumored to have visited Epstein Island. Epstein was jailed and later committed “suicide”. Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of grooming underage girls as “escorts”. No one who actually paid to have sex with these girls has ever been arrested. Hillary Clinton wanted to have Assange killed by a drone strike. And yet, it’s some crazy conspiracy theory to think there might just be a very powerful group of people engaged in child trafficking, grooming and pedophilia.

It probably happens in some form, but not in the basement of a pizza shop.

Are you saying they didn’t use known pedophilia code words in their emails because one lone nut job shot at a pizza parlor?

Funny how that one lone guy who “shot up” a pizza place changed the entire narrative away from our political elites using known pedophilia code words in their emails. But guess what? It doesn’t change the fact they did, indeed, do so.

Now, maybe they used those code words for a completely innocuous reason. Just like maybe all these elites flew to Epstein island just to get a tan.

I’m sure being a catspause hall monitor is a much better hobby than the things I do. Maybe I’ll look into it, but connecting dots is pretty interesting as it stands.

I would hope no one would vote for anyone that has a connection to Epstein. He was/is a disgusting inhuman individual and anyone that is tied to him should never hold office.

I am sure cat_chaser would agree with me on that.

Yes. I would trade Trump for every last one of the others who actually flew to the island to diddle kids (or just get a tan, per people like you).

Don’t care that Trump - along with his family - flew with him here in the states and never to the island; and don’t care that Trump kicked him out of MAL when his crimes became public. I’d trade him for all the others before you could say orange man bad.

I’ve also said many times on here I’d trade Trump for all the traitorous bastards who used knowingly false foreign information - paid for by the opposition party - in order to get an illegal warrant from a secret court so they could spy on him.

Yes, because it was only possible for the Epstein victims to be abused if they were physically on the island. What a dolt. They were friends for decades and Trump joked about how Epstein was into "younger" girls. I'm sure it was a HUGE shock to him to hear that his really good friend was abusing minors.

Yet another terrible "deal" that this presidential administration has cut in what is becoming a long pattern. But Manning got off easy too because of Obama's pardon so that set a precedent for light treatment of Assange.
