The sad part is a lot of them seem like they have come more recently. We've had at least 1 in the last 4 weekends. LSU (15-2), UGA (17-6), Alabama (10-1), and Tennessee (14-4). Weird that we lost 3 games to Miss State by a combined 9 runs, but got blown out by 3 of those teams, which are not in the same league as Miss State this year.
We just don’t have the arm talent to be consistently competitive in the SEC. Mingione and staff have significantly underperformed in recruiting pitchers. That’s probably been his biggest failure.
Kentucky needs at least 4 wins in the next 9 games. It’s possible. I just can’t see them losing 4 straight series. The problem is, you go into that Vandy series needing a win or even 2, I think you’re screwed. And that Vandy series I think the smartest play is to rest your best pitcher. You can’t lose the first game in the SEC tourney with a 14-16 record and make the NCAA.
Every time we get some hope, it is promptly crushed.

Given up 21 runs in two games against a weak hitting SC team...shutout today and like I said last night headed for 0-6 to close out the season.9-0 today, 9th 7 run loss in 2021, and last night was a 6 run beatdown.
