Conservatives would like to remove Illegal Aliens from our borders and enforce or change laws.

Dems see guns as a/the major problem and wants to change the law to remove guns,

Which has a better chance of success to pass law that stops the offense? Which side is crazy or crazier for attempting to make an issue of it?

You're as bad as WVPATX who sets up a false premise then runs with it. Show me a poll of the percentage of Democrats that want to ban gun ownership. It would be a small percentage.

Is it a gun problem or a crazy people problem?

Seems to me that mass shootings are caused by crazy people with a leftist agenda.

Do you never listen to your President, the party leader? Outside of Chicago, he attacks gun ownership ever time there is a shooting that injures.

I realize this is an exercise in futility, but can't it be both? Along with other factors?
Not part of the rules of the game: you have to choose the view as far to the left as humanly possible or the view as far to the right as humanly possible. You aren't one of those pinko commies that think there's room for some choice in the middle, are you?

Of course it can be a multitude of factors that need to be considered, but your President brings up gun control as the factor that needs to be addressed with ever incidence.

Do you know the difference between one Democrat (the prez) and Democrats (around half the nation's population? Also, I've never heard the prez say he want's to "change the laws to remove guns" as you put it. Words have meaning, use the right ones.

Democrats (around half the nation's population
Really, I can see the reason Obama won with "around half the nations population> That only leaves the other half to be made up of those too young to vote, Republicans, Independents and lesser parties. I have been misled to believe that the registered voters were fairly evenly split between Dems, Repubs and Independents?

Yes, words do have meaning, do you want to overlook that misadventure? Or do you want to continue being critical of the same thing you are highlighting as incorrect? I am not an English major, and obviously, neither are you. But we still can communicate if you would elect to stop being so demanding of correct sentence structure.

And the same goes to the board ***-hole who calls others "morons" to introduce himself to the conversation. When he is equal to Moe and going along with HALF THE NATION IS DEMOCRAT. That is just plain incorrect in any way you slice it. Even half of the voting population or half the registered voting population is not Democrat. And you strongly attempt to reinforce Moe's stupidity by being in agreement.

You were alluding to his "words have meaning" idiocy were you not?

He has called for bans on "Assault Weapons", and his administration has blocked the import of historic M1 Carbines and M1 Garands from South Korea (though they have softened their stance on the Garands).

IMHO, it's naive to think that he wouldn't take on an Australian type of gun control if he could get away with it.

What is wrong with that?
Has there been nationwide legislation that he has endorsed removing all forms of gun ownership? Or is the talk about keeping guns out of the hands of those that shouldn't have them?

Freaking sensible gun laws do not mean removing them, the nut job gun owners are the ones who are going to screw the pooch for us law abiding gun owners because like it or not the number of people owning or wanting to own guns is going down.

Without verifying, I think Bills are initiated in the House. Ergo the reason he has not signed any Bills after his first year - none offered.

So I guess the record sales of firearms since 2012 is an anomaly.

Define a sensible gun law.

Define a sensible gun law.

That's the million dollar question ... I think there are probably lots of things that make sense, but they are terribly difficult and impractical and ineffective in implementation.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I've seen in multiple places today that we've had more mass shootings than we have had days this year. So, there definitely seems to be a problem.

We see a lot of comments about the terrorists and why don't the moderate Muslims do more to stop the radicals. When it comes to gun ownership though, those same people don't seem to follow that same thought pattern. I see very little ... "hey, these lunatics are giving us responsible gun owners a bad reputation, we need to do something" and a lot more of "oh here come the libtards blaming guns" or "they'll use this as an excuse to take my guns". People jump in their fox holes.

I don't know what it is about our society that has people reaching for guns all the time. Maybe we aren't unique at all, but it seems like we are in that regard.

But he knows he can't and hasn't even tried ... so how is it at all relevant to the discussion?
I would assume he also knows (maybe I'm giving him too much credit) that America is not going to disarm... so why is there a discussion at all?

Nation of laws, my ***. Try enforcing the ones we have President Obama.

A small percentage that includes the people you elect to office.

Is that supposed to make sense or be pertinent in some way to my exchange with WhiteTailEER, BRU?

You're apparently the smart one here so maybe you can explain it, BRU.
