I would start Johnson at point guard. Then Chandler is shooting guard Cam Williams at the three jelly at the four and then Moreno and I mean don't just start them play a solid 10 minutes. Come hell or high water whatever is happening.. if we have to lose some games because we're doing the right thing and trying to reestablish Kentucky basketball as to what it shoulld mean to the players and I'll support that 100%

I see your point and agree, but Denzel has to start. He def had a terrible game last night but i do feel as if he is one of the only ones putting forward effort. Oweh, garrison, need to sit unless they can get their heads straight. Garrison could be a monster a plays like a 13 year old girl.

We have, imo, much bigger issues than DA. If everyone was playing with his effort, I feel we would all be a lot more optimistic today. I still reserve the right to be hopeful though. Maybe Pope gets it figured out. As horrid as it’s been, there’s still plenty of time, but is there someone in the coaching staff who can fix the defense? Is there someone in the coaching staff who will not tolerate poor play and/or poor teamwork?

Jelly and JJ are two of our worst 3 defenders along with Garrison. You can’t have those dudes on the floor at the same time. They are completely lost on defensive rotations. Aberdeen just needs to pass more when he drives instead of trying to be 24-25 Oweh. There were different occasions he had Chandler, Noah, & Williams in the corner alone and forced a contested shot trying to draw a foul. He plays hard though. Just trying to do too much.

The rotation has to be shortened and the main rotation needs majority minutes to develop chemistry. So, if the OP's rotation works then so be it.

There is a problem on this team. It could be one player or several. Whatever it is the problem needs to excised completely and a message sent to those who are left that they either fall in line or get sent packing with the rest. I don't care if we lose. I cannot abide what I saw on the court for the last two games. It is abysmal.

The question is, does Pope have the stones to do that?

I can handle a bad game, I can’t handle no effort and the lack of any team play. If we look so bad playing the best players then play the guys who actually try and play the correct way. A loss is a loss but one is more fun to watch at least.

Lowe IMO is done for this season. If he dislocates that shoulder again he's risking his basketball, and earnings, future. He can redshirt and get another year of eligibility and earn more. He's not going to the NBA. It's what we would advise our children to do.

this was the best lineup last night. Our starters sans bg on the bench for Moreno. Once pope went to Jasper and Trent we went to mierda. Aberdeen can run it. Take the pressure of shooting off him and get him racking up assists.

I think the other guys are croation guy (who we know nothing about. Still… and Williams. Jasper is 8th on the list. He is completely uncomfortable and his handles I don’t think he is ready to run anything.

again, it was for a starting lineup to get their attention. It wasn't to replace everybody, but it seems like they have to be shook up a bit and understand what's at stake

He was trying to do too much and took poor shots and turned the ball over. He always gives effort though and is probably just frustrated at what's going considering he won a ring last year with an unselfish team

I think this has to be the starting lineup and JJ needs to get good minutes in the backup pg role. Let him improve through time. He is very skilled, can shoot and drive, he just has some things to improve on (defense, setting up others etc… )

But one thing is for sure, Garrison's minutes need to be in the single digits. The fact Pope plays him so much, tells me Pope is being way too nice (soft). Garrison is never going to be a + player.

Hopefully JQ starts playing soon, but what's even more important, is Oweh playing like his future depends on it. He needs to lead and be a good teammate, if he keeps playing with this current attitude, this team will struggle all season.

Pope has some tough hurdles to get over these next few days. He's going to have to put it out there to these guys "either perform, or sit, don't care who you are" and he has to mean it.

Truth! And one of those probs is a guy, Mo, shoots like 9 % from the 3, and 62% from inside the arc. Coach, pull him aside and tell him to STOP shooting 3’s.
