post game presser & this is a beaten man. His expressions & voice
just tells me he is finished & he knows it.

Will he give up? I say no, however, he sees that it is not going to work.

Someone posted firing him & making Gran the HC to finish out the
season.IMO not a bad idea because before seasons end this team will
quit. I think some of the better 2017 prospects will open up their recruiting

Bottom line is this season is already a disaster after 1 game & is not going
to get any better.Cut your loses now & hope for the best. If we keep him
in 2017 we will be in the same hole we were in with Joker. At least a new
coach would have some talent left.

I'd take Gran as an interim HC to see what he could do. Hinshaw could handle the OC duties. There's no way Gran could be as incompetent as Stoops when it comes to game management. That guy is simply a disaster and needs to be removed from making any decisions immediately.

I actually believe Gran and Hinshaw have major potential as offensive coaches. But I fear that potential will never be realized here because of Stoops. When he is let go (and that appears inevitable now), those two will likely be lost in the shuffle, unfortunately. .

And don't forget facilities are in place! We could get someone attractive if they are willing to pay for it! This is looking like it is going to be an interesting decision for Mitch! Or maybe not!

i agree with the op. if things don't get drastically better fast, it would be foolish to keep him around for one last sacrificial year in 2017. people keep talking about the buyout, but what is that compared to revenue losses from fans not going. plus recruiting would be non existent so you are further hampering your future.

i like stoops, alot. i wanted him to be the guy. but its pretty clear that he is not.

$12 million over 3 years. is that really that much? how much revenue will they lose from fans not buying tix? how much future revenue is lost from a dead season where recruiting is impossible? i say, we cant afford not to fire him.

After paying a basketball coach $3M to leave that didn't even have a contract and giving a man that has never had a winning record as a head coach a $12M buyout, it's clear that Barnhart needs to be relieved of any ability to negotiate with staff immediately and then be terminated effective January 1st.

My 5 year old daughter that gives up for a piece of candy is 10x the negotiator that barnhart is. Without basketball boosters stepping inback in 2009, this man has effectively singlehandedly destroyed the athletics department and yet gets to continue on with a cushy salary.

What did you expect him to look like in a post game conference after getting your tail kicked. You ain't gonna be jumping around showing excitement and should look defeated.

He should have been jumping around on the field during the game
instead of looking like, What the hell am I supposed to be doing.

He looked way more than defeated & I am telling you this guy's
heart is gone.
