Cheat?Maybe franklin and Ak adjust after this. Maybe they wake up and say the offense Against good teams, osu, Oregon, notre dame sucked. So now they change it like Michigan did and kick some ***. Maybe!!

Defense was awesome!!
We are a good team that doesn't seem to be able to get over the hump to be a great/elite team - I guess many are tired of being also ran's but we should be careful of what we wish for - not that many good teams got great after firing their coach thinking it would ne an upgrade.
That’s what you got out of it. You are helpless. So ... we're going to cheat?
Why would it come down to ot. Score more points than 3 in 3 quarters and there is no ot.Not in OT. They had the game handed to them after PSU scored in 1st OT and they failed miserably. Then they gave Oregon a score on 1 play in the 2nd OT.
@razpsu not quarreling. I don’t consider Michigan a great program in light of what they did but your comments pertaining to the other squads are dead on. Btw, I think Franklin’s teams are all soft, finesse squads. I’d like to see some fire and physicality but after watching hundreds of TFrank videos it’s clear it’s all finesse. That’s what you got out of it. You are helpless.
Did they cheat last year when they beat osu. Nope.
That’s what you got out of it. You are helpless.
Oregon's defense in OT was finished too, and probably would've given up another TD if not for the Int, despite being on the field for a much shorter time than PSU's defense. Not in OT. They had the game handed to them after PSU scored in 1st OT and they failed miserably. Then they gave Oregon a score on 1 play in the 2nd OT.
You can't fire CJF until you have assurances Gruden is coming to replace him. Finally time for the last of the straggler fanboys to give up the ghost. If 11 years is not enough time, what is? 15? 20?
Let’s not kid ourselves, if Sandy negotiated even a bad extension, Franklin would have been shown the door long ago. Seems like a good guy (many folks are), but not getting the job done.
Compare the schemesBig difference between Moore and Allar is the amount of time that elapses between the snap and the ball being released from the QBs hand. I would say Moore averaged about 2 seconds (and never more than 3 seconds) on his throws - Drew is in the pocket for an eternity before he makes a decision and gets the ball out. Most great QBs make their first read as soon as the ball is snapped based on the actual coverage the Primary Route gets. If the defense blitzes, there is usually a "hot read" that becomes the primary target (the "hot read" is usually the eligible receiver who the blitzing CB, Safety or LB is lined up across from... - when the blitzer comes, the QB should look to immediately throw to that eligible receiver usually on a quick slant. Moore and Oregon switched to the "hot read" repeatedly for positive yardage - you never see Allar get the ball out quickly to the "hot read". You just never see it - in fact you never see him get the ball out quickly period.). At least late in the game, Drew took off with the ball after a couple seconds where he couldn't find anyone -- this was far better than sitting in the pocket for 4 or 5 seconds (sometimes longer) and just not making any decisions.
I agree 5-6 is a stretch but 4 is a good reality given the buyout. Like I said, this year is really important given the expectations. If we lose to Iowa as you suggest then that means no playoff and the heat is ratcheted up. Then it becomes a question of what he can do over probably the next two to three years and what the buyout is. If we miss the playoff again next year then where is the buyout? $40 million? I don't think we pay that. At $30 million we may. I think he is for sure gone if we miss the playoffs this year '26 and '27. He needs to do more than that though. He may need to make at least a semi appearance in the next 3 years or he could be gone. I hope I'm wrong but this year could be the beginning of the end for him. Why do I hope I'm wrong? Because that means we had a disappointing underperforming year which I am not ready to concede just yet.No way Franklin gets 5 or 6 years like this, buyout be damned. If Kraft is to be believed, and he is "ALL IN" on winning championships in football, then Franklin is on the clock now. I'm telling you, Kraft can't possibly listen to a chorus of "Fire Franklin" in Beaver stadium for the next 5 years, impossible. If we lose to Iowa when the team returns to the Beave, that stadium is going to be a morgue. The fanbase has already conceded OSU is an impossibility(rightfully), so that Indiana game at home is the new inflection point. Franklin loses to Indiana and he will not have Kraft's protection much longer.
I’m just saying they need to change. Michigan tried to be like osu then changed drastically and then they beat them. They still beat them last year and made day actually play conservative in the game.@razpsu not quarreling. They beat osu!!! This year they may be 11-1 or 11-2.Last year, when they were 7-5 during the regular season, and that vaunted kick *** offense scored all of 13 points against OSU and was 113th in the nation in Scoring Offense (we were 28th)?
Did they cheat last year when they beat them again without cheating? What else was I supposed to get out of you highlighting the results of a cheating squad as something to which we should aspire?
Yep score a td and two point conversion and it was over!!Oregon's defense in OT was finished too, and probably would've given up another TD if not for the Int, despite being on the field for a much shorter time than PSU's defense.
They beat osu!!! This year they may be 11-1 or 11-2.
Yes, they cheated their fans out of a respectable season by losing 5 games in the regular season. Imagine the JoeBots' reactions if we lost 5 games and had one of the very worst offenses in the nation.Did they cheat last year when they beat them again without cheating?
They lost everyone from winning the championship. They beat OSU!!! And zero effs were given because they had a horrendous season and a horrendous offense.
They lost everyone from winning the championship.
they will go most likely 11-1 or 11-2 this year. But stay focused on their cheating instead of what I was saying which is change the offense like other teams have. You do you though!! You are good at it.
They play the same schedule we did last year and then went out of conference to play at number 4 Oklahoma instead of playing 3 preseason games which they could have. So they play the same sos we do this year. They don't play anyone this year. They also changed their offense this year, from last year.
But how did they change their offense prior?
Pretty sure we recently changed our offense, as well. We've been changing it ... most would say, far too often.
"Let's change stuff because other people changed stuff" isn't really meaningful.
And Michigan succeeded because they cheated.

You are a great troll. I will give you that. Never come up with your original idea. Just pick apart others opinions on the board. I’m out.You must be lonely and bored, because you're just arguing to have something to do, at this point.
You said we should change the O, like Michigan did. You still haven't said how they changed their O.
We do know that they succeeded by cheating, however. When they didn't cheat, they went 7-5 and had one of the worst offenses in the nation. But you support that, because they beat OSU (scoring 13 points whilst doing so).
We actually changed our O ... just 2 years ago ... so your point is even less relevant.
And then you start talking about this year's Michigan squad. They just changed their offense AGAIN, so apparently they decided that whatever offense they had that was allegedly so successful, wasn't cutting it. And now you're trying to use what you think may happen to prove ... what exactly?
That brings up a good point. If we cheated like UM , would Drew still throw ints even knowing the defensive playcall ?Cheat?
Perhaps Bill Belichick and his hot girlfriend will get tired of unc and want to come here to make us the new 33rd nfl team? You can't fire CJF until you have assurances Gruden is coming to replace him.
What are you taking about? The pointy heads, corrupt politicians, and assorted other back-stabbers (OGBOT) did that. And 11 years and we still can’t win a second game against a decent team? How long does this guy get? He is not a pope. After the previous regime burnt the program to the ground, we deserve better than a top 5/10 program in the nation.
Agree…it might be necessary penance. No way Franklin gets 5 or 6 years like this, buyout be damned. Such an defeatist attitude. So if we lost another game or two each year for a few years trying to find the solution? What freaking difference would that be? Beating Villanova and Purdue ain’t all that.We are a good team that doesn't seem to be able to get over the hump to be a great/elite team - I guess many are tired of being also ran's but we should be careful of what we wish for - not that many good teams got great after firing their coach thinking it would ne an upgrade.
Season is an Indiana loss from being from being over…an increasingly likely possibility.Still way too early to be making declarations about this season and what this team can accomplish imho.
Chucky! You can't fire CJF until you have assurances Gruden is coming to replace him.

Franklin hasn't reached that chapter in his reading of Football Coaching for Dumbasses. How many times did Moore run on Saturday? He basically handed the ball off and completed short passes to the flat. How many times.has Carson Beck run this season for Miami? He basically runs an old-fashioned power running offense which PSU should be running. I also haven’t seen OSU’s qb run much, and he was great at Washington last week. Allar probably has more rushing yards than all of those QBs.
You can win with drop back passers. You just have to run an offense that suits them, which the brain dead offensive coaches at PSU aren’t doing.
I attended the Ole Miss vs Tulane game in Mississippi a few weekends ago. The Ole Miss QB, Trinidad Chambliss is a portal QB from FCS Ferris Stae. Kiffin has coached him up so well he has supplanted the guy who started the season (Simmons). Chambliss doesn't dilly-dally in the pocket. If his read isn't there he moves or runs. Kid is a gamer.I'll take a QB in College that can beat you with their legs as well any day over the pocket QB, however PSU was beaten pretty handily in the trenches last Saturday, makes anything you are trying to do more difficult. AK is a more than solid OC, what he did with Warren last season with virtually no receivers worth a s**t was great. Offense will be fine and the team overall to beat everyone on the schedule outside of OSU possibly. Definitely a conversation to be had why guys like Levis and BP leave JF and PSU and thrive elsewhere.
Small correction. Ferris State is D2. But your point remains. I watched a couple of their games last year. Chambliss is definitely a D2 game changer and apparently Kiffin has him up to D1 speed.I attended the Ole Miss vs Tulane game in Mississippi a few weekends ago. The PSU offensive scheme and QB coaching is not helping Allar. He continues to be very unsettled in the pocket. The passing routes are too long to develop and are often bunched to short side of the field or sidelines. These routes help the secondary and hurt the PSU OL (having to sustain pass pro too long). Time for some smashmouth straight ahead blocking on runs and quicker more spacing passing game.
If Franklin won't allow this, then why does he continue to recruit Allar type (immobile QBs)? Seems to me, PSU QB skill sets don't match the scheme.
JoeBots can’t help themselves. Eventually they have to out themselves. If we give you lotion, tissues and put on a video that loops “fake accused” highlights, will you leave the board alone?$ was found for fake accusers, $ can be found here.

Thanks for the correction. Chambliss looked really good against a stout LSU defense. He is not a big player, no more than 6' 1".Small correction. Ferris State is D2. But your point remains.
