If our recruits for 2016 stay on board, which I believe they will, Vince Marrow should be named National recruiter of the year for 2016. With our lack of wins, He is doing a fantastic job. I think I read where he is responsible for 14 of our verbals so far.

I think a lot of the reason these kids will not leave is the New Practice facility! It is Palatial!

After only three years of a new coaching staff, I don't think wins are as important to recruits as the dream of playing, and building a team. They seem to understand a lot better then some fans, that it takes longer then 3 or 4 years to build a good team, when it was in as bad a shape as UK was.

Not allot of things to feel good about UK football right now, but Marrow is one of only a few positives going right now.

It's much easier to convince a vulnerable naive young man that you can coach versus us die hards that have seen this song and dance many times.

There is something to that Willie. Early playing time and facilities help of course, but you can't deny the work this staff has put in in keeping things moving on this front.

Funny thing about coaches records, Fran Curci was considered a great coach when he led UK to a 10-1 record and no losses in the SEC, he left UK after consecutive 3-8 seasons. Claiborne was considered (and was) a great HOF coach, great rebuilding job at two programs, started off at UK with ZERO wins his first season.

But coaching is much much more important than talent, right?
