liberal terrorists in CA? If it wasn't bad enough that these lib terrorists were impeding the speech of others, they are actually resorting to violence and attacking people...but yet not a peep from the liberal sheeple on this board condoning it (that I have seen). But let a few people peacefully takeover a backwoods isolated office and it's time to send in the SEALs.

Don't be such a drama queen and please settle down before you faint. Terrorists? I really wish that terrorists only held up signs and bumped into people. Feds? Send in the military? Surely the local/county/state police can handle disruptions at political rallies.

The SEALs weren't used in Oregon. Federal LEOs were used because it involved Federal property. This sounds much more like a state/local jurisdiction.

Yeah, people really need to stop throwing that word "terrorist" around so freely. We know what terrorism looks like, and it doesn't involve pushing and shoving, or hograms taking over the HQ of a wildlife refuge. There are criminal laws covering those actions. Interestingly, I can't see any evidence of a police presence in that video that Eers3:16 linked in his thread -- I wonder where they were.

Peacefully takeover? You know they were heavily armed? The guy that got killed was firing at federal agents.

Backwoods isolated office: it doesn't matter if it's backwoods or isolated, it is still a federal facility. Local law enforcement requested the assistance of the FBI.

Do you really not mind looking like a fool?

He didn't fire at federal agents. Watch the video of him getting shot.

True, he was accused of reaching for a weapon and it did look like that to me. It's probably not going to go well if you try to drive around/through a Fed roadblock with their weapons drawn.

It didn't help him that he was shouting for them to shoot him.

He didn't have much choice when the roadblock was setup on the backside of a turn. They didn't have time to slow down even if they wanted to. Reaching for a weapon is not provable by that video, but he could've been. Could've also been reacting to getting shot. He certainly wasn't firing at them. The barrage the vehicle received afterwards with no communication is what made it look like an ambush.

It was a tragic situation but that man made a lot of poor choices leading up to the moment of his death.
