Justified returns tonight... can't wait to finally have a show on that I'll sit down for. anybody interested?

Thanks for the reminder. One of my favorite shows.
The reboot isn't getting great reviews from what I've read. It can't be as good as the first run. Walter Goggins made the show.
Yeah, I'm recording it to watch tomorrow, but no Boyd, no Dickie Bennett, no Crowes, and no Wynn Duffy makes me skeptical. There were just so many great characters in the original, I don't see how they can come close to replicating it.

My problem with weekly shows now is I can’t keep up and remember what happened so I’ll have to watch about toward the end of the season, but loved the show.
First episode I give it a 6 out of 10. Nothing will ever replace the original with the opening song to the music and background banjos.
Wife and I will watch it, but suspect it may be pale imitation of original, hope it doesn't jump the shark in the last episodes.
The original show is one of my favorite all-time shows. Based on the first 2 episodes last night, i'll be lucky to finish season 1 of this one. I was supremely disappointed.
Watched last night and enjoyed just seeing Raylan again. It will not be as good as first one but having Prestonburg boy Boyd Holbrook in it going to be great. Boyd is a good acctor and have loved the roles he has had. I never meet him but know several of his relatives

Did not know his actual daughter plays his daughter in the show.

Shes the new Loretta.. but I actually thought they spent alot of time on the new villain. I keep watching but this only has 6 episodes left now and by then football will be here. So all in all the timing is good but the show will probably just be alright. I'm not expecting alot.
You have to build new characters, Boyd and Dewey were annoying AF when it all started.
But Bo was the original bad guy in that and the relationship with Arlo kind of carried the show into what it became.
Until these characters build it’s going to be hard to gauge the show.

A lot can change with cable tv in just a few years. Show is now darker, grittier, and more violent with f bombs throughout. Not really understanding the daughter is annoying vibe. All she's done thus far is wander around a bit and find herself between her dad and the bad man briefly. We're not getting Raylan the lone wolf this time either. Sorta nice seeing him with a partner, almost like Justified meets True Detective.
Even if this limited series is just "fine", the one thing it's gonna do is make me rewatch Justified soon.

Thought it was a great start. Just have to take it for what it is, an entirely new show with 1 character you know. It’s easy to think of this as a continuation of the original, but it can’t be that. All new characters settings and storylines. As a new show, I’m into it.
First two episodes were really weak. I’ll finish it, but nothing about those episodes would have drawn me in if I hadn’t seen the whole series before.
But its not a show, only 6 episodes left after a 2hour pilot. It's gonna get us to football season and I doubt anyone rewatches it like the original. I could start season 1 of the original Justified and watch all 6 seasons again even though I've already seen them atleast 4times.
I like the idea of it being something that holds us over for awhile. It's tough to make something really great with just 8 episodes. I enjoyed the second ep., but yeah, if I'm going back to Raylan I'm sticking with Harlan.
One funny thing - I really didn't mind his daughter but most here don't like her, a board on another site wasn't a fan, and I've listened to two podcasts and they repeatedly called her "green", which she is. Hopefully her acting quickly improves.

Calling it now, this show will end with a small clip of Boyd either being released or escaping prison. Then you haters will all lose your ****.
It clearly isn't the same without Boyd. Would love for this to actually come to fruition.
It's just now getting good. I could almost watch another 8 episodes. It's served its purpose getting us through til football kicks off.
So let him off and renew for a new season. That would make for a good series. To bad they are done. Rayland Givens last stand next Tuesday.
