Just saw this on Twitter...
Secretariat was truly amazing.

Especially when you consider Secretariat had to run against Sham. I believe it’s still the case that Sham ran the second fastest Kentucky Derby in history. Only problem was Secretariat was in that same race and set the record.

If they raced in separate years, Sham likely wins at least one Triple Crown race and concievably could’ve won a Triple Crown in his own right. Instead, he had to deal with Secretariat and most no longer remember Sham.

They didn’t like the way Audible was training and pulled him. Let’s not discredit an incredible horse who went wire to wire in the Belmont and won the other two races in terrible conditions. The horse has only raced for four months and won the TC.

They just said that so it didn't look like they were worried about the 20 million stud fee they could lose. He was one race fresher, not training well, come on.
