Rowland didn't know why we scheduled Southern Miss. I'll listen to him if he talks about recruiting, that's it.

Can't get info from him about the status of current players either. Must think his info is so important one has to pay for it.

I'm not so sure that EKU wouldn't beat us. We might be the 4th best team in the state. And the fact that we have the power of the SEC behind us...... WOW.... just unbelievable

"Stoops gets 2017 even if he doesn't reach a bowl game". I hope he's wrong. Crap like that is why this program is at the bottom of the barrel right now. Third best program in our state.....smh

It's like I said, I want either a complete crazy turnaround or a dumpster fire (3-9 or worst). The last thing I want is Stoops to win just enough to justify keeping him for 2017. I think 4 wins would do that sadly.

You'll have some people on here try to defend that. Blows my mind how that can be acceptable to them.
There is no defense. Think about what our fans have said for the longest time, yeah but we play in the SEC. That was what we were proudest of for our football team.
It was not winning games or even being competitive, it was that we part of the best football conference.

I agree about the wins being enough. They will justify it because we would have to win 2 SEC games and that would be just enough for Mitch.

Sounds to me from what announcers during games are saying and what Rowland said in the interview, Stoops will be around next season regardless of his record. He's not going to turn things around here. The longer Mitch puts it off, the worse it's going to be for the next coach because recruiting is going to take a hit. Recruits hearing what the commentators said after the game last week plus the product on the field is bad enough. Why would a kid want to play here when they have a better chance winning somewhere else?

Mitch won't pay the $12 Million buyout even if we go 2-10 and attendance dips below 10,000 a game. He has put this program in a hole that will once again take at least 4 more years to dig out of.

Hope I'm wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.

This is correct. And when Stoops does get fired (after 2017 or 2018 seasons), he'll hire another inexperienced coordinator to be the sacrificial lamb.

sbeensaying this since he hired joker. Every move he makes is wrong and then he waits until we need a complete rebuild to make a change...football will not suceed until barnhart has gone unless he just accidentally backs into the right coach.

Sometime today one of the Mitch fans will be on here defending how great he is. They will forget they are on a football message board and defending an AD that sucks with his handling of the football program. They will tell you how great he does with the other athletic programs. Lol

Mitch does have a real problem, though. He has to service $185 million in debt while potentially looking at negative football revenue if he keeps Stoops. I feel very confident that this is the only reason he hasn't lashed out at the fans (i.e., "microwave fans"), yet.

MB comment? Has he even come out from under his desk?

With as much money owed to the coaching staff, i don't think we have a choice to keep them around for another year. If they stink the place up next year, they have to go. I want to be wrong about Stoops and i want this dude to turn our program around and build Kentucky football into something special. Times are bad at the moment and after four years i do agree we should see something different than bad football. The man should be winning games by now with his own recruits. He's not. We are not going to be able to hire a home run type of coaching hire if we are out that much money on the current staff and having to pay the new coach a nice salary too. That aint happening! Let's give this staff one more year and if things don't turn around, he's gone. With another year of coaching at Kentucky, i'm not talking about just making a bowl game to save his job either. With another year, i expect Stoops to have Kentucky at winning 8 games. I know that sounds insane, but with five years of coaching at Kentucky, i don't think it's too crazy to expect the coach to start showing Kentucky is no longer every school's punching bag on the football field. A 8 win Kentucky is what we all want and need out of Stoops, or the next coach that is coaching at Kentucky.

What's sickening, is that if we really are the 3rd best team in the state, is that we have been the best team in recruiting the last four years, so we should have better players than the other two that are a head of us, so what does that mean?

There is a reason they don't hand out any trophies on signing day.

If UK loses to South Carolina, bank on this crew going 2-10.

Even if they manage to eek out 3-9, I don't think UK will be able to do anything but fire Stoops.

The South Carolina game will be make or break. I don't care what Rowland or anyone says, but there is not a chance in Hell that UK can justify keeping Stoops if this team ends up at 3 wins or less.

The "UK media" treats Mitch B with kid gloves. He should be getting raked daily by these guys for his football follies but constantly gets a free pass. IMO

It means that our coaching staff is terrible.

I am at the point that I would much rather be embarrassed about the past indiscretions of our coach, while winning, than I would be while watching our pristine coach fabulously flail about while getting pounded week in and week out and feeling all righteous... I am truly sick of it.

Me too. I'm tired of losing with choir boys, let's try winning with a prick for once.

Amen, brother. After 40 years, I'm done with this shat. I'm not even watching on TV tomorrow, opting for the Bourbon Festival in Bardstown. They can call me when they hire a real football coach and get serious about running an SEC program. And I'm not the only one that feels this way,

Think I'll have my own private bourbon festival sitting at home and watching some other games...

Doesn't have to be a prick, but we can't preemptively rule anyone out because of past issues, and their first requirement can be the ability to recite the rosary (pardon me if I didn't phrase that correctly, I'm not Catholic).
