If he chooses Bama who can really blame him. At least he would be doing it early, and without milking the UK program for all the perks imaginable, unlike someone else.

Best of luck. But we also must try to shut out bama and other elite programs from taking our suddenly much improved in state talent. Winning will solve that.

If you're good enough the NFL will find you.... The name schools in any sport recruit the numbers... Doesn't always mean a Natty Champ but most of us understand the law of averages... Be glad to have a guy like Wills, but if he doesn't wanna be here then.... just let the balloon go.......

If he wants to play for a NC at Bama you can't blame him, like one poster said at least he hasn't strung us along for a year. We have to get to where we play competitive football, win 7-8 games a year and at least look good in the games we lose to expect players like Wills to want to come here.

Young is a KY boy at heart. He wasnt going anywhere but UK. Young had a better relationship with John. I love UK and played for Hal Mumme but comparing UK football to Alabama and saying UK has more advantages is just being a homer.

Exactly. It's hard to turn Bama down. Bama will probably sign 4 OT's and some of them will move to guard, Wills being one of them. I would love to have him but he values the chance to be in that final four every year. Landon on the other hand values playing for the hometown school and making his own mark. Two different values. Both can be right.

It's like the situation going on with John Petty. If he went to UK and played for Cal, he'd be just another 5 star who could very well be "recruited over" and lost in the shuffle. With Coach Avery, he'd be our 1st priority regardless of position and potentially a hero in Tuscaloosa. Not to mention he'd make more of an impact in TTown.

Here's the rub: Kentucky has a rather large fan base that actually cares about football. Alabama can't say the same for basketball. I get where you're going with the analogy, but it is not the same.
