Puffing their chests out. They beat Texas today and now they're saying our win over them was a fluke. Alexander got into foul trouble, Oubre hadn't developed. God please put them in our bracket.

Wow. I can't believe they would say things like that.

That fan base is completely out of touch. It like they think it's 2008 again and Derrick Rose is going to miss 20 free throws to gift them another championship.

News Flash: that's not happening in 2015.

I watched some of that game and Texas looked like they have regressed a little.

Not totally untrue. Remember IU thumping UK in Dec of '74 and then UK beat them in Regional final same year. UK's defense is still amazing though. KU is improved, not denying that.

Kinda weird that Texas did better with Felix running the point.
There's no such thing as a 32 point win being a fluke though. We didn't have an out of this world shooting night, their itty bitty point guard kept driving the lane and getting swatted, and we've held plenty of other teams to similar numbers.
Every one of their fans said Alexander would be in early foul trouble before the game even started, so it's not like nobody didn't see that coming.
I would love having them in our bracket.

Texas, under Rick Barnes, does this every year. They are the only team that regresses throughout the year. It's like clockwork, they play great in November/December than rapidly go downhill. I bet they end up as a 7 or 8 seed this year. Again though they have top 5 talent and size. What an awful coach.

If Kansas is hitting shots, they can play with just about anyone. But if they aren't, well, then you have 30 point whippings like both us and Temple gave them. And Temple, for what it's worth, is a terrible, terrible team.

Hmm seems like last time we played them in March the outcome was pretty much decided at halftime. Not sure they really want to go down that path again.

"They are talented, but I disagree. They have tremendous size and their bigs are good athletes. That said, they do not have a wealth of talented basketball players. Wichita St. had kids that could actually dribble, pass and shoot. They did not rely on simply out-sizing inferior opponents."

They have definitely improved, and a lot. I doubt we could beat them by more than 20 at this point.

Kansas fans were singing the same tune in 2012. How did that work out for them the second time?

It depends on which Kansas comes to play. The other night vs. OU they were blowing them out and up 19 at half. In 2nd half the other Kansas team showed up and OU took a 3 pt lead but Kansas did put out the W. Today, they didn't look that good in 1st half but then started hitting their outside shot and pulled out the W. I agree with another fan that said Texas was better before Taylor came back to run the point.

Just a few days ago these losers blew a 20 point lead at home to Oklahoma and were trailing with around 3-4 minutes left in the game, not to mention they got spanked by Iowa St a few days prior. Those guys are delusional idiots.

KU fans do this all the time , I firmly believe they are the dumbest fan base on the Internet outside of maybe Louisville .

I actually called this and a few others did as well. They do it almost every year.

They get their *** handed to them, then enter BIG12 play, start running that league, and then Bam they are the 96 wildcsts reincarnated. It's laughable but just as the sun will rise tomorrow........

The SEC is the most underrated league year in and year out. The BIG12 is the polar opposite. People need to figure this out.

This is par for the course. It's the same thing with Louisville fans. After we beat them they spend the rrest of the season convincing themselves it was just a fluke or that they've improved by leaps and bounds while UK hasn't improved at all. No surprise here.

If the game had been close, it would be a little easier to make a legitimate case for this kind of thing. But we're talking about a 32pt thumping. There is no argument. UK is clearly superior.

Damn I really hate admitting this but if we played again I'm afraid it would only be a 17pt blowout ...

Kansas fans should shut up about playing UK .. even their players know UK's size and defense wouldnt change and thats why Kansas shot so horribly that night... no matter how much better Kansas gets, they're still midgets compared to us.

The sec is always extremely underrated. The big12 doesn't produce Champions. The sec does. I know that's hard for you to interpret, but bad leagues are not typically going to produce as many Champions as we have and REALLY BE a bad league. Cal has struggled mightily winning sec road games and sec tournaments, but he has no problem kicking the **** out of your Kansas Jayhawks.

The big12 is for sure the most overhyped league year in and year out, and I'm glad you didn't see the need to debate that.

lol, i doubt any of the rational KU fans (i.e. the propertied ones with money who actually make donations to the program) want any piece of us.

i'm hoping it's simply a delusional sect of internet fans who think they actually have a shot at taking down Daddy UK in the dance.

the whole fan base can't possibly be that obtuse.

We play at 50% capability and still beat opponents by double digits on the road. Our bench could beat the Jayhawks by double digits again.

Oh how soon they forget.

Is this what most fans of other teams act like here? Just openly take a piss on UK's conference?

First, I think we match up with Kansas perfectly and would dominate them in a second game and would love to see them tournament time.

That said, of all fan bases, we should understand the development of a team with star freshmen. Moreover, of all fan bases, we should understand how much a young team can improve over the course of conference play. They are simply saying the things we usually say about our teams. If they are delusional idiots, then every one of us that thought we would succeed in the tournament last year were idiots.

It is absolutely shocking that they like their team best, and some of their fans think they would give us a better game this time.
I know firsthand that they have their own legion of doom. For every KU fan you have that is puffing their chest, I can find another that cringes at the thought.

I love when the jayhawks eat crow more than any of you. Half the people I work with took a sick day after this year's game. Do you guys really believe that only UKs freshmen develop.

This. How in the hell they have so many teams ranked is beyond me. The voters simply shuffle them around as they lose to each other, but for some reason they keep them artificially elevated. It's almost like, "Yeah, they lost, but it was another B12 team, so it's okay. They just HAVE to be good. Don't they?"

Sheep.

Sec is 5th in Sagarin and Big 12 is 1st. The average projected margin is 5 points and that's with Kentuckys large rating included. And they went 3-7 in the conf matchup this year. Nobody would credibly argue the SEC is a better league.

Not saying the SEC is better, but the Big 12 is overrated and the SEC is underrated. We always are, and I don't deny we have some real head scratchers every year. But when it comes time to perform, we prove routinely that we were better than people thought.

KU is clearly the Big 12's best team in the conference during Bill Self's tenure. With that said, look how many times they flamed out of the NCAAT during that time. Just look how UK has owned them since Calipari's been here.

By UK owning KU, then UK owns the Big 12. I couldn't care less about what the other teams in each conference does to each other. I just care about how much we beat KU by. Although glancing over the all time stats. It appears UK owns the rest of the Big 12 as well.
