KU has the most NCAAT wins since 2000 so they must not be "flaming out" very often. The Big 12 lacks elite teams no doubt. Outside of Ketucky and Florida who has the sec had do anything the past 20 years?

Not better, but not significantly worse either. Look at the thread I posted a couple days ago. All six B-12 ranked teams are 3-3 vs currently ranked teams outside its own conference, whereas five SEC teams are 8-3 outside its conference. Even taking UK's 4-0 out of it, that's 4 SEC teams at 4-3 vs 6 B-12 teams' 3-3.

Arkansas champs in '94, runners up in '95. Miss State final four in 96, LSU final four 2006, just off the top of my head.

Ok then OU and Okie State and Texas have all made the Final Four since 2002 also. Same deal.

In Poneroy right now Kentucky is 1 and the next best is Georgia at 30.

SEC has THREE teams winning SIX titles in the last 21 seasons.

B-12 has ONE team with ONE title in the same timeframe.

You are not very good at this.

I don't want them in our bracket. Kansas is very good and getting better. I prefer to play lesser quality teams until we have to play the major teams. Let's be realistic. I want the easiest route possible to the Final Four.

Odd that this thread started about KU fans talking about playing UK and turned up being my daddy (conf) can beat up yours.

Iowa State, you know, the same Iowa State that whooped your arses, lost to an 0-5 Big 12 Conference Powerhouse Texas Tech today.

Okay, both teams freshman develop equally. Now what are you going to do? I think it still equals a 30 point blow out.
Or are you saying KU freshman will develop better than UK freshman? What's your point?

I sure hope we get Kansas again in the NCAA Tournament. There are certainly other teams that are much better than Kansas. I'm not sure that they deserve the No. 11 ranking.

It was 4-6, and would've been 5-5 if some teams knew how to keep a 20 point lead. No one argues the Sec is the best, but objectively speaking if they are "trash" then the Big 12 is just barely better

Why do we care what Kansas fan has to say about our conference? I could give an ish less about the rest of the league. We're #1 and on top of that we dominated the NOM conference.

kenpom, sagarin, RPI...no one dominates meaningless rankings like KU.

when you have to talk about these things to justify yourself....its full blown grasp mode. because what you cant talk about is final fours and titles.

why do you think KU fans want and need to win the big 12 so badly every year....

I confess. My baggage is that I get hooked by posts complaining that other fans like their team better and like their coach better. Frankly, I would lose respect for them if they didn't. I simply don't understand the energy to go to another teams board, read some rival fans optimistic view of their team, bring their quote back to our board and complain about them being as optimistic about their team as we are about ours. Does anybody believe that if we played Kansas the next ten games that we would beat them by 30 every time? Of course not. As I said, I think this year we are much better.

Here's my point, They are no crazier than us. If they are wrong about being optimistic about their young team. Then we have been crazy about all of our young teams. We sound hypocritical. We are attacking them with the logic that we get attacked with every year.

Ill take a team with two 6'8 post players in our bracket all day long. We are Kansas' worst nightmare matchup wise. They know it just like we do. Its easy to talk when they know they won't be seeing us again this year.

I think the refs made the Texas game closer than it should have been. That was the worst called game I have ever seen. Over fifty fouls were called so it was just ridiculous.

Who really cares about the Big XII? Hasn't UK already won that conference as well? We prison raped KU and also beat Texas by double digits. What other Big XII team wants some of the BBN? Don't get me wrong because anything can happen on any given night, but in a best of five (or seven or nine or whatever) series, UK would abuse the Big XII. A team may pull an upset from time to time, but the talent/performance/defense of UK would completely obliterate most of the Big XII resulting in double digit losses an overwhelming majority of the time.

Well I didn't see the quote or anything but it is my experience that most KU fans are quite aware that we don't have the size to compete with UK, we'd have to be deadly from 3. There was recently a thread on not-Phog about how many games we'd win if we played UK ten times. The overwhelming answer was 1-2.

KU has improved a lot but is still wildly inconsistent. We also get the best game from Iowa State every time we go up there.

This is by far the best post I have ever seen you make on this site. Kansas is a good team no doubt, but as I said previously we are Kansas kryptonite with our size and length. I however do not think Kansas would win any out of ten. Hopefully the NCAA puts you guys in a different bracket so you can maybe make a run to the FF

We haven't played MSU but that doesn't matter , we don't get motivated for a perceived lesser opponent . Besides we don't have to use another game to figure this out , we won by thirty against KU and that was not a fluke .

I like Self and I like KU. Got good talent and have improved, but the Big 12 is not what everyone thought it was. KU will likely win the conference again. ISU losing today pretty much assured that.

If UK had lost to them by 32 and it wasn't even that close, I wouldn't be on their message saying ANYTHING.

Kansas isn't getting taller.

Kentucky isn't getting shorter.

It was our tremendous depth and length on the defensive end that lead to the monumental *** kicking in November (why do they think Alexander got into foul trouble?)

They'll be improved in March. So will Kentucky. They don't want any more of UK and I bet the reasonable KU fans would agree they don't.

Funny how those Trash Teams hold a decidedly big advantage in head to head matchups vs little 12 teams
