My first reaction to this news is here we go again with the UNX "notice of allegations", this will go nowhere.

That was the worst loss to me other than 99, Lehigh and Mercer. (I hate when we go out early)

99 remains the worst for me. That team really had no weaknesses.

94 Arkansas was bad because that was my senior year at Duke but that was ameliorated somewhat by the fact that we won back-to-back my freshman and sophomore years.

99 is in a tier by itself for the worst loss for me. The best college basketball team I have ever seen.
The next tier I would have 98, 02, and 04. The 2002 team was so good, #1 KenPom O and #1 D. Was so stupid we had to play IU at Rupp Arena.

The Kansas 2018 loss then leading the charge in the next tier. Don’t think the 2018 team was better than the 2019 team, but the loss was much more painful, we had that game won.

The 99 title game was a bad one, as was the 04 game. But the worse one of all is the 90 title game. Imagine living in North Carolina, and knowing that your team took the worst beating EVER in the title game.

Facing multiple major allegations.

https://www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/university-of-kansas/article235306247.html

The 2018 loss to them was one of the most painful losses of my life. They have beaten us 3 in a row since Tyler Thornton made that ridiculous 3 in Maui.
Hope the NCAA comes down swiftly and hard on them, which they probably won’t.
We were literally a total of 3 pts if you don’t count overtime against Kansas from being in back to back Final Fours

That was my senior year of high school (90) and I proudly wore my favorite Duke sweatshirt I ever had to school the next day.

99 and 04 were the worst but 98 and 02 were also tough to swallow... should’ve gotten titles in 99 and 04 and probably 02 with any luck/ breaks

I think 98 we should have gotten one as well. If we hang on to that 17 pt lead and get to the final four, I know Duke would have beaten Stanford and Utah!

That one was definitely hard to watch at the time. But within a day or two I felt like it was karma of sorts given the unimaginable manner in which we ripped the hearts out of their players and fans in '92.

I still rank 1999 as the worst for me. Just didn’t seem possible. The loss to IU was really bad, too, but it was also coming off a title....maybe that made it sting less? I don’t know....

One of the worst is still 2006 vs. LSU for me. J.J. will always rank among my favorite Duke players ever. I just love the guy. That night really, really hurt.

I questioned the chemistry of that team in retrospective. Duke should've identified Tyrus was having a great day.

Nothing major will happen to KU. The NCAA will never come down hard on a blue blood program, even if they are blue blood because they pay players to win.

Couldn't agree more with these sentiments.

The LSU game was even worse in some respects because they didn't even play that well. We were just worse somehow.

J.J. was from another planet his senior year. Some folks forget he was so good he was the first men's basketball player to win the Sullivan Award since Bill Walton in '73 IIRC.

1999. Nothing comes close. I hate UCONN and nothing makes me happier than the fact they’re irrelevant now.

2004 sucked but I covered the spread on the half court shot at the buzzer, so it softened the blow a little.

The loss to KU in 2018 stung but mainly bc my family is full of KU fans. IT WAS A CHARGE, DAD!

The LSU game...so pissed watching that game. One of those games where you knew Duke was gonna lose most of the game when you knew they were the better team. JJ should have a title. Watched that game in a packed bar in Lawrence, KS. Yelled at the TV like I was home alone. Lucky I didn’t get my *** whooped that night.

LeHigh ranks up there but mainly bc I was there and had to listen to all the UNCheater fans after the game.

That 2006 LSU team was probably not a team Duke should have seen quite that early. They underachieved in the regular season to get the 4 seed - they had 4 NBA players and more like 2 seed talent.

All of those hurt but the 65 loss to UK was a killer to a ten year old.No one will ever convince me with a healthy Verga we don’t beat Texas Western that year.Verga still my all time favorite and the best shooter we ever had

‘94, ‘98, ‘99, ‘02, ‘’04, 06, ‘11, ‘18, ‘19. That’s rough but nothing will ever be as bad as ‘99, why we stopped going to an unstoppable Elton in the second half still baffles me. I still have yet to rewatch that game and probably never will. ‘06 really hurt because of JJ. He was and still is my favorite player to play at Duke. The last two years hurt, toss up to which is worse.

They should but KU will have to pay about 40 million. unc cheater u got the family discount. :) OFC
And, I will always wonder what went on behind closed doors with the NCAA and Swoffard. Anyone affiliated with a University within the conference should never be commissioner of that conference. Cant stand the sob...

To be serious unc is a powerul institution with powerful alumni. They be the most powerful athetic program in the NCAA and they are treated differetly. hof coach williams stated way before the came down that everything was going to be fine. How did he know that. The notication of alligations was just a formality by the NCAA to pacify the critics. OFC

Chris B should've played more, Elton was unstoppable, Avery was not shooting well, Corey was young, etc...

I watched the game again and Duke did not make the adjustments. 99 hurts!
