Where is the guy who plays like a NBA player against UK and no doubt will tomorrow once again if FL hangs on to win?

FL up 4 at the half btw. Alabama played terrible the last 10 minutes of the 1st half, and only down 4.

Play a zone against UF and Hill is useless. He can't shoot at all.

Agreed.

That said, UK won't zone so why don't we sag off of him? It seems simple enough but obviously not.

Hill will be an NBA player but he needs at least one more year to at be able to hit a shot or free throw if he has to. He is just so so fast ( and was when i used to go watch him in HS) and can really handle a ball . But he has totally lost confidence in his shot and it kills UF at times. The one future lotto pick UF has it Devon Robinson but even he a a year away.

He has only scored in double figures twice since 1/15 and both times were against Kentucky...

I want UF to win so we can beat them 3 times in a season like they did us but i have a feeling Bama is going to come back and win .

It looks FL is going to pull away...unless Bama gets their heads out of their behind ASAP.

Alabama seldom does that . At least in the games I've seen .

I am sure it is a mere coincidence and has nothing to do with our defensive strategy.

Once again, why UK does not play off that clown and make him shoot jumpers I'll never know. There is nothing wrong with admitting you are human on D at times and doing things to help the D out...if Hill hits a couple 3's (with our luck he would) so be it. Then we'd re-adjust. I just think you have to turn him into a jump shooter tomorrow.

Bama playing zone more than likely.

I wouldn't say that he looked like a NBA player against Kentucky this season.

Just 49.4% true shooting with an average of 3.5 assists and 2.5 turnovers against Kentucky doesn't scream NBA player.

Relative to the rest of his play in SEC play...he played really well. And no, I did not literally mean he played like a NBA player man.

UK did a much better job on him in the 2nd half last week.

The good news, we just played 'em, so won't be anything tricky about the match up.

will say I preferred not to play them. they are so much better than their record. just a team of underachieving head cases. who just happen to play up against us.

That said, we'll still smoke 'em. Let Karl and Trey kill 'em on post ups.

He was 2-4 from three point range the first time we played them and 5-11 overall, so his three point shooting was far more effective that game, thier two top scorers are Frazier and Finney-Smith ,who can shoot and sometimes light it up from three. You don't want to Zone them to keep Hill from scoring while allowing their two scorers to go off. We have the number one rated D in the nation and havent lost.

Kasey Hill will never play a minute in a real NBA game. He is Payton Siva without a jump shot.

Sounds about right on him hitting 2/4 from three despite sucking at it for the season. I was not advocating a zone, but just his man playing off of him in man to man. I clearly stated that in my post.

Remember when Hill and Chris Walker seemed all hot and heavy for UK, and people wanted UK to take them because there was too much uncertainty with the Harrisons and Julius Randle? "Bird in hand", and all that?

Yeah. I'd say Cal made the right call.
