I was there today. A well spoken young man with classy parents. Kash disclosed that he has been a longtime Packer fan and was really excited to meet the Golden Boy in person.
I remember when Paul Hornung of Flaget High spurned UK in 1957 for Notre Dame. It was devastating for Blanton Collier and our football program.
Still, no one can argue the Golden Boy made the right decision for himself and his family. After a much honored career with the Irish, he became a legend in Green Bay.
Seeing Kash Daniel, Kentucky boy and future defensive leader for UK accept the Paul Hornung Award speaks volumes for future Kentucky kids playing for the Wildcats.
