Fix absolutely will not be wrestling at 125 the first couple years unless he were to cut an unbelievable amount of weight. He had to cut to get to 126 this past weekend. He is in the middle of last major growing years of his life. He will be at 133/141. I see 133 as more realistic expectation becaus of how short his stature is but wouldn't be shocked the least bit if it was 141.

Pic, Brock, fix, heil, smith, Rogers, marsteller, moore, weigel, marsden. 2017 starters. I like it.
I like it, but I don't think Marsden will be a heavy. To me he seems like he could be at 184 even. I would prefer CM and rogers flip in that scenario. I think Lewallen could find a spot as well.

Wrassler- Of course he had to cut to get to 126. He will have to cut to make 133 and 141. That does not mean he will not cut to 125 in college. It is just too early to tell. My guess is 133 but it is only a guess. I guess we will see in another year or two. The one thing that can not be disputed is that his cut to 126 this past weekend did not affect his gas tank with a 23-8 tf over a very good D1 wrestler.

How good is Duffield? I know he's going to OU, and was a state champ as a freshman, I believe. Is he really a DI kid, or is he like the Dixon triplets?

I think he has one much more upside than the Dixons. Duffield is going to be a tough kid! He has the ability to throw from anywhere and is improving in other positions. He just ran into a complete monster in the finals.

My apologies I didn't word that very well oberobo, I meant to say if he's cutting to get to 126 now then it's just so hard to imagine he'll wrestle at 125 in 2 years when he's only going to grow even more from now till then. I know the majority of the kids at the state tournament are cutting but prob 90 percent of those kids don't imagine weighing the same 2 years from now either

wrassler, no apology to me ever necessary. I knew you knew that but I said it for the edification of others. Daton probably had to struggle to wrestle 126 but he is a workout-aholic and although he most likely weighs in the 140's he also works out so much that he is not likely to weigh that much often. The Fix children take after their mother(sorry Derek) in their size and while he may get heavier he is not likely to gain height.

I don't know if his height should determine whether or not he can go 125 though, look at chance who's very short and may have been able to make 157 but looked terrible there. An even better example would be Heil when the staff tried to get him to go 133 he's not a very big 141 and he did not look good down at 133 I believe he lost wrestle offs to some teammates at 133 as well

Kid is an absolute stud. Love his confidence and his pre-match roll. His biggest accomplishment to date was beating Spencer Lee. Unfortunately the only time I have seen him wrestle live is when he lost at junior world trials to micic last summer in Wisconsin. Excited about his future.
