Looks like a possibility of not just a top coat dusting tonight but could see up to about 4-5 inches of snow to get all us skiers looking forward to the season. A Basin summer activities are over and snow guns are out on the mountain just waiting for some cold air to lock in to get them cranked up....

still too risky to drop 10k for a post Christmas house sadly

Looked like they ended up with 5 inches and 6 inches up top. They were in the sweet spot for the storm. Got in on the early snow and when the storm pivoted to hit A Basin and Loveland it continued to snow all day on them.

Storms are a comin... Alta/Snowbird could receive up to 16 inches over the next few days. Many places like Grand Targhee in WY received about a foot a few days ago. Temps crash tomorrow night out west and looks like snowguns will be cranking almost day and night for close to a week out west.

In 2019 just after I moved out here I went to Mammoth on July 4 and and the slopes were still open.
