We have to get rid of XL. He brings nothing and is non-existent every game.
Plan to draft a QB next year or sign a top FA during the offseason.

Not watching but saw on the gamecast that XL had another false start penalty. Thats the weekly contribution we’ve come to expect from him.

Two beautiful, long throws by Young and a great catch by Legette for a touchdown. Panthers are back in it.
And a fumble recovered in plus territory. Sweet.

That is why you don’t listen to this metric stuff and take the points!!!!
If you kick the PAT and that FG = 4 more points.
21-20 now instead of 21-16

I truly don't know what to make of BY. He does show flashes like that last drive, but consistency is not there at all.

Pre injury this year he was pretty solid. Getting his mojo back. He’s a decent qb.

I guess the Panthers lost. I didn't watch last night.

EDIT: 1/7 on third down. Yeesh! Its hard to win when you only convert one third down.

The Panthers should never play another prime time game in the next five years... Only 1pm games on Sunday, because we get egg smashed on ours faces every time we play in any "meaningful" game, with National recognition..........

It is really, really hard to watch Bryce Young play football every week. I have gained so much respect for Canales and his ability to scheme to the few things Young can do every week. I really don't think people appreciate how good of a job DC is doing to make Young look mediocre. He would be the worst QB in the league by a mile on the majority of NFL teams.

When you don't have NFL arm talent or size, you have to make up for it by being historically elite in other areas. For example, Drew Brees may be the most accurate thrower of all-time. Russell Wilson had a great arm and a great deep ball. Bryce Young does nothing at an above average level.

Just look at this play below. How terrible of a decision-maker do you have to be to think you should throw this ball instead of trying to run it in? The game was effectively over right here, with this mind-numbingly dumb interception on 1st and Goal.

He misses layup passes and makes terrible decisions. Those are the things that he has zero margin of error for considering his other physical deficiencies, and yet he still manages to suck at these. Where's the elite processing that was so evident at Alabama? It's been non-existent from day one in Charlotte.

It also had a compounding effect by making the next two quarters so conservative on offense that we were not competitive.

For whatever reason this team can only play well when it’s been counted out. We’re never the aggressor and seem doomed to play from behind in most games and in the win column for the playoffs. If I had to guess that probably comes from the personality of the QB rather than the coaching staff. Case in point that a playoff QB just runs that ball in to make it a 7-7 game in a must win matchup on the road.
