I just can’t stand people that wanna get involved in politics. Don’t know another thing about her. They all ****** suck.

But cool for Craft. Name carries weight. Guess they’re not allowed to donate while in office or running for office?

I think it’s more that self funding campaigns is expensive.

I’m with you though. I’d rather be the UK power broker.

She’s already the US ambassador to Canada… or was.

I don’t know, let’s look at the data. She’s GOP, Kentucky is still, mostly GOP. She has a certain amount of name recognition. She has funding. She was a US Ambassador. Depending on how you look at it, a Trump endorsed candidate still carries weight in Kentucky. She may not win but taking the emotions out and simply looking at the data, she’ll do well in Kentucky.

Thought Trump already endorsed Cameron?

Kentucky has more registered Democrats than Republicans. It's been that way a long time.

Craft has a better shot than Cameron. I think Gov. Andy won the hearts and minds of a majority through the crises he's handled over past few years.

But who gives a **** about my political opinion, honestly

Trump has already endorsed Daniel Cameron. That could change now that Craft has officially announced her candidacy, but I doubt it.

GOP has officially eclipsed the Dems in voter registrations (by a solid margin) in KY and based on 2020 data, it should be a pretty comfortable victory for the GOP nominee next year in the Gubernatorial if turnout is high

The GOP primary is stacked, though. Kelly comes across as a moderate in a lot of ways - I’m not sure how well that will play here on a loaded ticket but it’s early and I am going to give her a fair shake.

We shall see.

I don’t understand why she wouldn’t just take over Cameron’s original path to succeed Mitch. She fits in better in DC anyway.

Not anymore. GOP, for the first time in a long time, has higher totals and that margin continues to be on an upward trend at this point.

My boss' wife. At least we know she will back the coal industry, which is where most of my family is employed.

No one is beating Cameron in this race. I really wish the Republican Party would get behind him in full force. He’s a guy that could eventually be a hell of a candidate for president.

She won't win the race, but a lot of ad buyers are very excited to see her officially enter.

Well, her campaign will certainly be well funded, you can count on that.

Which is how she got appointed to be ambassador to Canada and UN representative (and that is how it is done in every administration, lots of rich donors or their spouses just by happenstance end up as ambassador to UK or France or some other plush position)

Ryan Quarles can beat him. He's definitely the best candidate, IMO. Has strong grassroots support in all 120 counties as well. I think he would simply be a much better Governor than Cameron for the people of KY.

Cameron hasn't really been that impressive as State AG, IMO. He should have held out for whenever Mitch kicks the bucket. I sorta figured he was Mitch's chosen successor anyway.

Cameron and Maddox are my top 2 as of now. I think both would make terrific governors. I think Cameron ultimately wins the nomination.

Not a fan of Quarles' antics against legal Hemp in Kentucky. May not be an issue for some, but weaponizing state law enforcement against legal products doesn't sit well with me as a conservative.

Cameron went to bat for all of us during the COVID tyranny. Something I won't easily forget. Savannah Maddox did her part in the legislature as well.

I like her politics but Maddox isn't a serious candidate in this race.

The candidate field seriously needs some weeding.

Whoever wins the nom is gonna KICK Beshear's ***.

So many people talk about Governor-envy when Florida comes up - we have a chance to have our own version of DeSantis with Maddox, but she just doesn't have the name recognition or fundraising to cross the finish line. Maybe in the future.

I agree, GOP is primed to take back the Governorship in a big way.

Quarrels is good but he needs to be focused on being the LT gov for Cameron.

Savannah Maddox

🤣

It's embarrassing that we've turned into a party that would consider her a viable candidate, maybe the coffee shop guy can be her running mate.

I don't think she will win, an establishment candidate will win....but as the most America First candidate on the ticket, I'm rooting for her.
