Not a fan of Quarles' antics against legal Hemp in Kentucky. May not be an issue for some, but weaponizing state law enforcement against legal products doesn't sit well with me as a conservative.

Cameron went to bat for all of us during the COVID tyranny. Something I won't easily forget. Savannah Maddox did her part in the legislature as well.
I thought Quarles basically spearheaded Hemp's legality and growth in KY the past 8 years as AG?

Quarrels is good but he needs to be focused on being the LT gov for Cameron.
He's a young man... wouldn't be the worst landing spot if he comes up short in the primary.

If I was Cameron, I can't really think of a better Lt. Gov candidate.

Ryan Quarles can beat him. He's definitely the best candidate, IMO. Has strong grassroots support in all 120 counties as well. I think he would simply be a much better Governor than Cameron for the people of KY.

Cameron hasn't really been that impressive as State AG, IMO. He should have held out for whenever Mitch kicks the bucket. I sorta figured he was Mitch's chosen successor anyway.
Unless you are so biased you are blind he has been a complete failure as AG.

I found it interesting on a KSR show a few weeks ago that a caller asked Matt who he would support if Kelly Craft was against Beshear and he said he likes Kelly but it would have to be Beshear because he aligned with Andy's political views better. This was just after saying he had been sitting with Joe Craft and Vince Marrow the night before at KSBar. I would have thought he was smart enough to avoid the question all together instead of saying he wouldn't support Kelly Craft.

I expect the entire UK Admin & Athletics Dept is all-in on Dandy. Hell, look at all their BLM shirts.

It took an all time bad candidate for Andy to even win in the first place. No way he beats Cameron or craft.

I’d be willing to bet any amount of money on that

Give me some odds and we have a wager, Trump carried Kentucky 65%, that ought to be worth 3-1 on Andy B. Deal? How about you put up $600 and I will put up $200? We can discuss who holds the money later.

Or you can stop being a baby back female dog and take the bet as it was offered.
I’ll take that bet. Let’s do $100
Awesome send me an email and we will sort out the rest.

Keep in mind I hate liberals and new age republicans (liberal lite version)

bevin sucked ***. Andy sucks ***. Kelly craft or Daniel Cameron will also suck ***. Until our Governor cuts state employees and taxes in half they will all continue to (you guessed it) suck ***

Cameron (or Craft) winning isn't a forgone conclusion. In April, Beshear had a 59% approval rating which has only gone up with his handling of EKY floods. Matt Jones (save the outrage) mentioned today that it is 62% among the GOP. A well liked Democrat Governor in a mainly GOP state isn't unusual. North Carolina has that right now. Beshear will do better than many on here want him to or will actually admit.

There are a lot of talented people who will be in that mix. Cameron, Coleman, Craft, Quarles, etc. Mitch won’t hand pick his successor unless there is a GOP Governor and Mitch retires early.

Do you know why there are well liked democrats in red states but no well liked republicans in blue states?

Beshear won by 5000 votes against a hated candidate. In the same election, Cameron won by 221k votes, Adams won by 5% and 60k votes, Harmon won by 205k votes, Quarles by 270k and Ball won by 300k votes.

Trump by 550k in 2020.

Beshear and schools will hurt - would doubt he can make up for his handling of that. JCPS still in masks, 1 of 4 counties in the country. That plays.

Beshear has been on a post-pandemic spending spree the last few months, as predicted by his opponents. This is going to be a plus in his corner, however, the damage that he did during the pandemic is still going to haunt him in the debates.

Does Cameron have anything that will haunt him? 🤔🤔🤔

Thank God we live in a state that isn't bossed around by its biggest city. Thank God for rural Kentuckians.

So many states are completely red except for a couple outsized blue dots who run the show and set the agenda. That's not Kentucky.
Doesn’t everyones vote count? Does a vote from pike co count more than a vote from Fayette co?

I think Gov. Andy won the hearts and minds of a majority through the crises he's handled over past few years.

some of you are very ignorant. Andy has zero chance of another term. It took Bevin shitting on one of the biggest voting bases in the state for him to get elected by a narrow margin in the first place. That coupled with how far right this state has moved over the past few years has him fighting an uphill battle.

ThroughBlue and BC_in_06 both say AB has zero chance and will put whatever you want on it. I am offering to do so at 3-1 odds a year and a half before the election.

IF AB really has zero chance, it ought to be free money to you. Like betting on Secretariat in the Belmont or American Phaoroh in the BC Classic, if it is a mortal lock, odds should be irrelevant.

I would say you are the ignorant one. His approval rating after his handling of the floods has skyrocketed and there is precedent for a Republican state to continue to elect a democratic governor. With the legislature being a Republican super majority, he essentially has no power as governor except during unprecedented disasters (COVID, WKY tornados, EKY floods) when he can use executive orders. The people of WKY and EKY overwhelmingly support him because of his handling of their disasters. Can he lose? Absolutely. Will he lose? It's possible but it is certainly not set in stone.

I live in BG and work in WKY and i can assure you he doesn’t have the majority of the support in those areas.

while you’re right that this state has a history of electing democratic governors and mostly Republican representatives and senators, i think we’re in a different point in time. It is obvious by looking at the registered voters that are switching sides at an alarming rate.
