I empathise with Coach Kelly as I'm certain that he had no knowledge of the academic fraud that took place at ND! This is one of those areas that I simply deplore regarding the NCAA and their selective punishments of colleges/universities! ACADEMIC FRAUD, give me a break, North Carolina & a 15 to 20 year deliberate policy by 2 or 3 HC's, and what has been done about it?????

I never feel sorry for any coach that has academic fraud at their school. He gets paid big bucks, so he should be held accountable. If you think Pitno didn't know what was going on with the recruits, and Williams didn't know what was going on in academics, your crazy. Both coaches knew. Players talk, and I mean, talk and brag!

Agreed....I don't know why schools would accept any form of punishment when UNC played for a NCAA title last year and will be a top 10 this year without any sanctions.
