Kelsey Talks About Roster

The Cardinals can still add a couple of players to the roster and have been linked with several players in the transfer portal or the high school ranks.

But Kelsey wasn't giving any hints as to any other additions.

"No, you are always just looking for ways to improve and things," he said. "Everything is still on the table. We love, love, love our roster. We're so excited how it all came together, and we think we have a chance to be special next year."

"We have about a month or so before that all get on campus, and we're chomping at the bit to get going."

I don't think they can publish a roster until it becomes "official" in the fall. Until then it is still somewhat fluid. You know it seems like since all this talk with the portal and NIL, there never seems to be an issue with academic eligibility, not just us but every program. That used to be part of the equation when determining your roster.

Bart Torvik ranks us at #17 in his 2026 projections. Lunardi has us as a #5 seed.

Ridiculous! Louisville could sign three 5 star recruits and Lunardi would have the Cards a 4 seed. Same thing with the polls. Cards wouldn't be a top 5 pre-season either.

Cards have 4 dudes 6'8 and taller. All expect to contribute significantly. It wouldn't hurt to have another one, but for me the Cards need a back up PG to spell Brown.

I was thinking the same. If none of Wooley, Kobe, and maybe Conwell, can play some backup PG then that's a problem that needs to be addressed.

Seeding for the tournament becomes “a self fulfilling prophecy”, as those with low seeds (1-5) are matched with higher seeds (12-16) that are clearly more predictable. It’s a sham process.

I completely agree. We need a guy down low who can intimidate and scare people, alter shots, etc. Could be Fru, but otherwise we don't have that.

The last I read Fru’s agent was happy. I think they are just waiting to finish up his season in Germany.
