It is true....a whole lot of the sports program is beyond disappointing. Baseball and men's basketball are gut-wrenching.
But - I think we are sitting on something explosive with K. Briles. If you've been on here a while you know I personally wanted him considered for OC (and future HC) by our AD back when Chump was roaming the sidelines. I am not backing down from the support. He isn't perfect, but coaching talent is not spoken about enough. Guys like SOS .... coaching talent. There is a swash buckling, risk-taking, damn the torpedoes that all great coaching talents have the last 40-50 years (including Saban). I think K. Briles is one of those guys.

Time will tell on the results, but he's the first legit OC we've had since the SOS days.

I don't count Bobo since he inflicted us with Collin Hill.

The problem is we waited until we’re literally desperate to hire a real OC. Now it’s do or die. We should’ve hired one last time around…

Could see Briles here only one year. We lose, and he’s likely gone anyway. We win, and he finally gets a HC job… let’s hope it’s the 2nd one and we follow it up with another solid hire.

But I’m still skeptical…
