I think over the course of a full season, PK and GA would probably be interchangeable in terms of W-L, but PK would have a higher bonus rate.
I think PK is better built currently for 3 day tournament at 174.

Gabe should have walked into the season down at 174 and put some off season time in as well.
Would def like to see the match up.

This is kind of random but stay with me. Most here are probably football fans and one thing I think about is something the Lions coach Dan Campbell has said. He is known for his bold calls to go for it on 4th down early and often.

His mantra when deciding whether or not to go for it is thinking about what the other coach would want him to do then do the opposite. If I was a PSU fan/coach, I would prefer the Hawkeyes to send out Kennedy because he hasn’t shown anything to indicate he legitimately could threaten Haines.

Now that could change after the salute and I don’t know if that translates to the overall decision on who goes at 174, but it’s something to think about and might offer a different perspective to consider.

Side note, I think more guys should consider this when having choice in the 2nd or 3rd periods. Anyways, that is my crazy rambling for the day. Go Lions tomorrow.
Im guessing they arent real concerned over either PK or GA

Say the decent plan has a guy weighing 190 this week and he comes in at 189 corby's saying that resets the whole thing to the prior week which seems pretty strange to me. To me it would make sense the following week the guy has to be 1.5% under 190 he doesn't get credit for $189 but can still continue his plan.I will get a second opinion on this.

Otherwise as 98 guy pointed out you really can't lose 1.5%, you're always going to have to come in just a little over and I don't think that's the case so I'm going on record that Corby is wrong and you guys can all buy me a beer.

I understand you're saying a wrestler can drop 4.2% of their BW in 5 days (assuming weigh in 184.7 on NDI Day 2, and 177 5 days later) when the rules is a maximum of 1.5% BW in 7 days, without any repercussion. If so you appear to be saying the wrestler is essentially just ahead of schedule of their descent plan, and their 174lb timeline date remains unchanged.

Is this what you believe?

That's not how others seem to understand the rule. It's not how I read it. But hey, I've been wrong before.

I think it’s a toss up. PK is looking better than ever this year but I think GA could match up better against Haines because of his defense.

I also expect GA will have a much better pace at 174 as I think he was a little gun shy at 184 because he didn’t want to get caught underneath.

Either way both need to stay ready because if someone gets dinged up at the wrong time like Nelson last year then that could be a deciding factor.
Good luck against Haines, he's a world champion.

He's currently not at 174 and can't be until the salute. He could be at 174 right now and he isn't so that should tell you something
That weight management is going to be a big problem for him the rest of his career?

Yeah, I wasn’t blaming you for having to beat the horse. You’ve been forced to by some of the morans who can’t seem to get their head around a regulated weight descent.
Listen pedo dumbass I was curious if he was 1.5% less than what he weighed vs pitt or still at 184. Descent plan must not have started yet if he weighed just under 184. There's still time though.

Minimum # of Days = RoundUp to whole (log base 0.985 (Current Wgt/Target Wgt Class)) * 7

(Base of logarithmic function is 1 minus 1.5% or 0.985, where 1.5% is the maximum allowable percent BW loss per week.)

Availability to Wrestle at Target Wgt Class = Last Current Wgt Date + Minimum # of Days

Any date that is sooner, the wrestler is ineligible to wrestle the Target Wgt.

Target Wgt must be >= Minimum Allowable Wgt from most recent valid weight certification.

Kennedy will likely score more points as he is a bonus guy when he smells blood. Gabe would probably keep the score closer with Haines but I can't see Haines ever threatened. I'm glad I'm not making these choices. Brands sees them everyday at practice so I think whatever route he decides I will support fully.
