I see a better record than that IF, IF Lowe stays away from shoulder problems.
We play UT twice, Alabama twice. Vanderbilt twice. Florida twice. It's gonna be tough.
I think we are better than 11-7, but even that puts us 20-11 and in the big dance. My whole thing is being healthy in March, because if we are, we could easily get to the second weekend and see what happens11 and 7 in this league with our no doubt reoccurring injury issued isn't some bad prediction.
So what would that be for the season, 19-11? Bubble team or maybe a little above?11 and 7 in this league with our no doubt reoccurring injury issued isn't some bad prediction.
What do you mean you wouldn't settle for it? What would you do?No way would I settle for 11-7, I say play it out and see what happens.
Bama only once, but still a tough schedule. We play UT twice, Alabama twice. Vanderbilt twice. Florida twice. It's gonna be tough.

So, assuming we don't win the SEC Tourney, are you predicting ten (10) losses this year ?? Would you consider that satisfactory ?? I guess it is ...idk i'm looking at our schedule and i don't see us losing 7 games. just my opinion. SEC really is down this year if we're talking about f*cking Vandy being good.
I predict 5 losses: @ Bama, @ Vandy, @ Arkansas, @ Florida, and a home game at Rupp to someone
I'd take 13-4.13-4 is more likely imo
Tough question. In a vacuum yeah i think it would be.So, assuming we don't win the SEC Tourney, are you predicting ten (10) losses this year ?? Would you consider that satisfactory ?? I guess it is ...
To be a successful and improved season over last year, I think one of these three (3) things needs to happen:Tough question. In a vacuum yeah i think it would be.
But there are other variables:
- this year absolutely must be better than last year's in some way (either a better W-L or going further in the postseason). I don't think that's asking too much and I think Pope would agree. If we take steps backward with Pope at the helm...then I don't really know what we're doing. Better to cut ties and move on, imo. This ain't a Make-a-Wish (And to those of you saying this is Cal's fault for being crap the last few years and making the fanbase impatient af...you are correct. But this is the situation Pope signed up for.)
- i want to see some signs of an actual long-term locker room culture here under Pope. We are in the process of finding our identity here with this team and hopefully Pope realizes that and lets the players guide him, instead of forcing his five out offense where it doesn't work. Bc what is our identity right now? It should be bully ball from this point on but in a lot of games it has been "jack up an obscene amount of 3s and just pray they go in"
- People don't wanna hear about it but the $22MM figure is out there and it doesn't even matter if it's legit...that dollar amount will forever be associated with this team so you have that to live up to as well. And from all accounts it was the team that leaked that info
Agreed. I'd also be thrilled at just making the SEC final game. To me that would be a significant improvement. To be a successful and improved season over last year, I think one of these three (3) things needs to happen:
1) Elite 8
2) SEC League Champion
3) SEC Tourney Champion
If we do not achieve one of these, I think it's fair to say that we're a decent team, but not better than last year.
GO CATS !!
If we beat Bellarmine by like 40, we might tip the projection to our favor in some of those tight future matchups.FWIW it's something that changes from game to game.
For example before the St Johns game, it was projected as 10-8.
Also FWIW only two teams are projected above 11-7.
The road games are going to be tough. We aren't currently favored in pretty much all of them. Hence the projected record being close to .500.
Either you didn’t read the X post or you didn’t comprehend. Have a good day. What do you mean you wouldn't settle for it? What would you do?
Yeah the X post hadn’t loaded when I posted that. Not sure why you’re such a d*ck tho.Either you didn’t read the X post or you didn’t comprehend. Have a good day.
Assuming JQ is good to go moving forward, everything rides on Lowe. I wouldn’t take that if I knew he was going to stay healthy. This team could win 12-13 games in the SEC if he doesn’t get bit by the injury bug.
That’s just the new normal for the new Kentucky and new Kentucky fans who accept our new fate.I'm taking 11-7 after our Indiana-level start to the season.
Bama one game away, TN, FL, & Vandy two games each.We play UT twice, Alabama twice. Vanderbilt twice. Florida twice. It's gonna be tough.
I don't think it will be 11 - 7 but will not be 14 - 3. Somthing between those two records. I think Bama, TN, Vandy, & FL are loses on the road. With that statement I gusee I am projecting 13 - 4. I'll take that as well a 5 seed in March. No way would I settle for 11-7, I say play it out and see what happens.

Check me if I'm wrong but a 13-4 finish is pretty well impossible with an 18 game schedule.I don't think it will be 11 - 7 but will not be 14 - 3. Somthing between those two records. pitiful. what are we even doing here?Signing up for UK to go 11-7 in the SEC is wild.
