It may be time to bring in some new blood to the coaching staff that knows a bit about offense. My goodness. We cannot run an offense worth a damn.

Our offense is dribble around the 3-point line, pass, dribble, pass, dribble pass, then 10 seconds on the shot clock.....drive in and chuck something up. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Nice to see you second guessing Huggins ability to run an efficient offense. Who do you suggest WVU bring in that could hope to improve on what Huggins has produced for the past 15 years.

Let me remind you that the coach you are questioning is the best coach WVU has had, and WILL EVER have.

1) rarely do the head coaches actually "run the offense" in college basketball
2) I was referring to his coaching STAFF.....whoever is responsible for putting together an offensive scheme and gameplan needs to be replaced

I’ll give Kent State one thing. They play great defense.
It's easy to play great defense when the team you are playing has ZERO offense at all. Our points hasn't come from an offense, they've come from two guys who have the ability to shoot off their own dribble. Nobody else on our team is an offensive threat.

WVU, #3 in the country in causing the other team to turn the ball over, had MORE turnovers than the Golden Flashes, 16-12.

That is inexcusable.

Today’s effort won’t fly in the Big 12, which won every game today and has 4 teams in the Top 25 (not WVU, of course).

As usual Taz with 27 and McNeil with 19 led the way with 46 of the 63 points.

No one else got more than 4.

WVU had only 6 steals to 8 by Kent.

Not my alma mater’s A game. Will be a catastrophe in the Big 12.

Didn’t catch the game but from what I’m reading it was another ho hum performance against a school we usually schedule to pad the win total. Margin of victory in these types of games matters, Pitt who is about to drop to 3-7 and we treated it like it was freakin Ali vs Frazier we beat by a measly 15 points… our best wins were tight ones against Clemson (6-4) and UConn minus 2 starters. To our credit UConn minus 2 starters did handle a solid St. Bonnie’s team. Our best performance on paper is strangely enough the 11 point loss to a solid Marquette team where we showed the ability to atleast build a big lead against a good opponent even if we couldn’t hold it.

Unless we are a team that is simply elite at grinding games to a halt and playing to a low score, then we have a lot of issues that will come to a head in conference play.

WHICH IS WHY ALL OF US ARE LOOKING FORWARD APPREHENSIVELY TO PLAYING IN POSSIBLY THE TOUGHEST BASKETBALL CONFERENCE IN AMERICA THIS SEASON 4 OF THE TOP 10 TEAMS NATIONALLY.

We have the look of a team that will go 7-11 in conference play. We will need atleast 8-10 to make the NCAAT.

Like my old coach told me: “When your teams leading scorer is a guard, there will not be very many trophies in the trophy case.”

I think we lose at UAB & Arkansas. 9-3 out of conf.
Need 18 or 19 wins to go to the dance.
9-9 in conf needed. I have a hard time seeing 9 wins in B12 play.
I think this is NIT year.

#17 Iowa State 47 Jacksonville State 37 - is this a middle school score. They were up 15 at the 15:30 mark (37-22) They score 10 points in final 15 minutes against a 2-7 team.

I don't.

WVU will go 10-2 in OOC and 8-10 in conference and win 2 games in Big 12 tournament. Then lose in first or 2nd round of NCAA.
