This is what separates us from a lot of other teams, even out past teams. We have a bullpen that competes and Georgia just doesn't. It's kind of a shame that this game is going this way given what a good pitchers dual it was.

5-4, Top of ninth, still one out and bases loaded.

Hope Cats closer is fresh!

It sure seems like the attitude of Kentucky is way better than Georgia. Georgia seems to be wilting in the face of adversity, We are getting timely hitting now. Didn't have that the first 5 innings.

In case y'all haven't heard before. UGA has the worst fans. Living in Columbia and going to a lot of games here in Athens, it's like I forget until I come back and then they do things to remind how awful they are.

Winning on Friday night is such a psychological lift- especially a comeback like this. Georgia on the other hand, has to be bitterly disappointed. Gotta love it.

More obnoxious than LSU baseball fans? Really?

That honor still goes to USC fans to me. The only fans that have shown up here to talk smack... although it has been a while.

UT fair weather fans would come in second.

Another great win in what is becoming the Cinderella story of 2023 in college baseball.

I will say, when I attended the UK vs. UT series in 2022 in Lexington, it confirmed for me that UT fans are every bit as obnoxious in baseball as in football. One grown man, at least in mid 30s, maybe older, was wearing an orange afro wig and just screaming at the ump on every other pitch. I almost said out loud what I was thinking: "Really man, aren't you a little old to be dressing and acting like that?"

I am going to find out how obnoxious Louisville baseball fans are on Tuesday. Unless we turn the place Blue!

There is 100% chance of rain Saturday and 3% Sunday. I would bet we have a doubleheader Sunday. Would they probably make it 7 innings in each game?

Church making strong case for that DH spot.

Probably go with Stanke to face righties and DH Burke?

I dont think can make league games be 7. Auburn vs A&M was a DH today and it was two 9s.

It depends on the travel day. With Sunday being the travel day for UK, it’ll most likely be two 7 inning games. If the double header was tomorrow, then you get to play 9 innings.

That was my recollection also from previous seasons that Sunday doubles were two sevens.

How did you get tickets? Having a hard time except expensive ones on Ticketmaster
My friend in Louisville (also a UK grad), got them on Stubhub. I don't know what he paid for them. Probably some UL season ticket holder figured he'd make some money off selling the UK tickets,

Yep, you guys are right. Postponed to tomorrow. Two 7s starting at noon. :(. Not gonna be able to take advantage of our bullpen depth so we will have to get ahead early. And hope Bosma is OK going Sunday and coming back for Friday at LSU.

That was ridiculous. How can they call HBP when the batter squared himself in the batter's box and was practically blocking the plate?
Didn't see, but if he got hit in the batter's box w/o good chance to get out of the way, it's a HBP. If he got hit over the plate it's not a HBP. If he got hit in the 6" between plate & box, judgment by ump.

The problem, if there is one, with the success comes the fair weather fans who in most years wouldn’t know this board existed.
That’s me, brother!

But I come with bona fides: I am a lifelong football fan. I refused to leave a 41-0 UF beat down in 1995, so I got to personally witness Craig Yeast’s first TD reception.

Great... SC vs LSU is cancelled, so LSU gets more rest for their arms and we are gonna come in off of a double header on Sunday. Next weekend is going to definitely be a challenge. I think that will show us the grit we've got. I've got tonassume roszel has a short leash on everyone tomorrow to make sure they can be fresh next weekend, huh?

Welcome! Glad you’re here!! I just wish, and this isn’t towards you or anything, that the general public cared more about baseball and softball for that matter.

I’ve pondered that issue.

In comparing college football with college baseball, and their respective histories, college football will always be possessed of the soul of football . . . “Outlined against a blue, gray October sky the Four Horsemen rode again. “

But the soul of baseball lies in Cincinnati, dating back to 1869 . . . and having nothing to do with a college campus.

Still, there is no reason college baseball cannot grow to equal college football in the next century!
