UK down 7-1. LSU with the worst ERA in the league and UK puts up 6 runs in 3 games, with two of those being 1 runs for UK. Sad. Sad. Now UK will be well cemented into last in ERA.

Rebuilding from losing 11 players dumbass , to the draft . If half had stayed ,we'd be a whole lot better! Any questions!

I believe it was actually 13. The point is that a year ago we underperformed despite having the most draft picks in the country. Now we are rebuilding despite underperforming a year ago, and it makes you wonder whether we can step it up or if this will be the new norm.

It’s a transition period with the Mingione regime, and the jury is still out. I hope he is successful!

I hope he is as well, and I think he did better than Henderson would with the group his first year, but each of the last two have been major letdowns, especially last year.

So we underperformed with 13 players that were drafted and did not make the ncaa tournament last year and the reason were are struggling this year is because we lost 13 players to the draft??? Which is it NM was handed a very good club his first year an made a regional and every one(including me) was excited. If he can't recruit he's not going to win...It is not looking good!!

Slow the knee jerk reactions down. We have young talent. The light bulb just hasn’t come on yet for most of them

I'm not sure it's fully knee jerk. We have played two quality teams and are 0-6 and in two of those gave given up 35 runs. Those were good teams and on the road, but still. Those results don't bode well for future wins. We could have a really really bad year.

10/12 (including TJ) of everyday players are jr/srs. Now, except for ZT you could say our pitching is somewhat young, but you are not beating teams with the everyday talent that is on the field. This is a talent issue and not an experience one.

Plus loss to Boston College making us 0-7 vs P5 teams

Won't be an easy week for the CATS...Xavier midweek then weekend series vs TAM who's coming off a successful weekend vs #1 Vandy dominating the rubber game 7-0.

I don't know that it is necessarily a lack of talent. There are a lot of talented players on the team, but we just aren't hitting and we strike out entirely too much (and have since Ming has been here). I think they have to shake up the lineup. Get a new mix in there and see if it wakes the bats up.

Sorry, that doesn't fly with me. It can only be a rebuilding year if the structure was solid prior to the departures. If you can't make the NCAA tourney with last year's bunch, i'm not sure how brighter days are ahead.

Right. It's one thing if we had simply lost series to the two good teams that we've played, but we've been MURDERED and failed to win a single game. It's baseball, bad teams can win a game all the time, and we aren't even able to do that...

It doesn’t matter if you have people in place.

Trying to win with freshman and sophomore pitching is a tall order. If you want to be negative Nancy, then more power to you. I choose to hang in there and watch them grow. It may not correspond to more dubs but at this point just improving is all we can ask for. What I don’t get is everybody is dismissing all of those experienced players that are gone from last year. Even Cal’s 5*’s don’t get going until January. It’s just not that easy!!!!

Brad Bohannon ( Alabama head coach) recruited most of those 13 that went in the draft last year. They were the core of the regional run 2 years ago. If Ming does not recruit better, we will get killed!!! Brad.....are you interested?

Cal's five stars have plenty of talent for the most part...this bunch doesn't .
