Heady is very happy that White is over at first. Heady has had two plays and both of them White has had to dig out. Hopefully Heady brings those up and doesn't begin to throw them away. He's only in there for his defense, and it needs to be well above average to justify him playing, IMO.

Dang... 9 strikeouts so far and we're only in the 6th. Not sure how many pitches have been thrown by the UNC starter, but he could go the distance at this rate.
By the way, I am very happy that I've basically been able to sync up the UK radio broadcast and the video feed.
Colton Cleary coming in to pitch for UK. The grad transfer from Cincinnati makes an early appearance for UK.
Carolina pitcher with 10 strikeouts thru 6 full innings. He is tough. New pitcher for UK is Colton Cleary, the Cincy transfer.
Saw in twitter that the cats keep falling behind in counts. Sounds like the same ole **** from last year - will be tough to break.
Cleary with a pretty decent inning. Got an out to start the inning and then an error put Miller at first. However, Cleary decided he'd do most the work himself and start a double play to end the inning.
Once again can't get the leadoff runner across... or better yet even put him into scoring position
I am trying to take this game with a grain of salt considering we're facing one of the best pitchers in the entire country.
I think UK really should have tried to bunt Carson over there. Need something positive and to get a RISP with just one out would have helped I think.
Some pretty good defense there. Heady makes a two out diving stop and flips it to Mahan covering second to end the inning.
Reks has been a bit of a bright spot this afternoon. I think Cottam probably should have been DH over Wilson. Wilson has some great defense, but I've never been overly impressed with his hitting. Cottam couldn't get a base hit here in the 8th but he at least hit the ball very hard and forced UNC to make a play.
UK bats getting a bit better here late in the game with White getting a 2 out double. White coming out of the game and Lewis coming in as a pinch runner. Kind of a strange move.
Schaenzer coming in for UK now. Mahan in the top of the inning grounded one fairly sharply to first, but it was right at the first baseman.
Well, three more outs and this thing is over. UK needs to find someone to step up here in the top of the 9th. Bottom half of the lineup will get their chance.
UK is on the board thanks to a UNC error, and a Heady base hit moved Hyer over to third before Reks singled to plate the run. Runners on the corners with 2 outs. Cottam up to hit.
Well, UK put up a pretty good fight in the 9th, but it was too little too late. It ended in nightmare fashion as we recorded our 15th strikeout of the day.
Bukasas is likely a top 10 draft pick. The Cats likely won't face a better starting pitcher until they face Florida.
Positives from the game, Reks 3 hits, White his usual solid game, Carson got on base twice, Heady played SS well, Hjelle battled even though he didn't have his best stuff, the bullpen, Cleary and Scheanzer were pleasant surprises.
I look for some different people playing in the Saturday game, Cottam, Mcneil, maybe Marshall. Just to get some players game action, even pinch running or pinch hitting.
