Kingsbarns getting into speed duel killed my tri’s. And the 5 not running a step didn’t help either. I had the 3 and 8 but not on top.

Old Burt got some kind of grant for horse owners and then put his shoes up on the desk for 4 years. Kentucky has had worse governors, but I can't remember one whose ambitions were so easily fulfilled.

There are only 3 active riders with both a Derby win and Eclipse Award for best jockey. Castellano, John Velazquez and Joel Rosario.

Only decent ticket I cashed all day was with a friend at our party who had never bet on a race and wanted to bet some kind of gimmick bet, so she picked three horses, and I picked three, put in $30 apiece for an exacta box, which paid $330. She is now hooked, and half that ticket helped to cut my loss on the day to something reasonable.

OTOH, me and several other pretty serious handicappers had a $960 Super bet, which failed miserably, needed Tapit and Derma to show up. Derma got run over at the start and was never a factor, I was counting on him to be on or near the lead. I didn't like Tapit all that much (BG Stakes winner is ALWAYS over bet), but got outvoted by the group. Oh well, it is GAMBLING, not investing after all . . .

Churchill needs to figure out what is wrong with the racing surfaces. Too many horses with injuries over the last 5 days for this to just be a trainer thing. They should not race again at Churchill until they figure it out.

Yep. Count me out for now on. The euthanasia is too much.

My only complaint- My Old Ky Home was hummed, not even words on the screen anymore.

How long till the Karens cancel it all together?
