Brown is on fire. We don't have an answer defensively. We need a guy who can go score at will on their seniors.

My thing on Pope is.. if he doesn't work, and Cal didnt work? Whats next? We got told "No" by some coaches i didnt even want to begin with. Were not drawing the attention of top coaches, and if Pope wasnt UK alumni, I shudder to think who we would have landed.

I think if Pope gets run out, we are in trouble.. and IMO would need to really think about how we are going to build a basketball powerhouse in this era. Legacy means nothing, we have to spend to win a title. That includes coaching, facilties, recruiting, everything.

We gotta figure out a way to guard Brown Jr. I'm hoping there's no way he can play that well again in the 2nd half. Can he?

It would have been really good to not let Brown have a layup. If it’s going to be that easy he’s not going to miss, hard fouls like Lowe did earlier is what you have to do if he beats you.

Oweh needs to try and be physically dominant on defense. He does it in spurts. All last year, it was palpable when he was going to put his mind towards making a play defensively. There was that moment when everybody knew he was going to force something good. It happened in the last few minutes of this game. He needs to play with that attitude more.

Luckily we're nowwhere near that yet, lol. He's already beat Duke, U of L, Gonazaga on the road, UT twice, etc.

Call me crazy, but I see that we have a more complete team than Louisville. If we slow this down and force Louisville into a Halfcourt game, I think we win this game. I thought the whole point of building this deep and versatile roster was so that we can adapt and play different styles. Right now, we look like we are trying to force a square block into a round hole.

Saul wasn't a Cal fan.
And, despite how bad the last few years were, Cal had a lot of success that was probably held back a touch by key injuries at really bad times, as well as some bad coaching. You don’t have to like Cal but let’s not act like he didn’t have success here.

Under the premise that Pope doesn't work out, I think replacing him would be a lot easier than replacing Cal. Nobody wants to be the one to follow the hall of famer no matter how how his time ended.

Louisville is amped up and was on fire the first half. We missed some 3s really ugly. The second half will be interesting, but we aren’t going to win if they drop another 50+.

How many times can Oweh give the ball up on a drive? Giving up 53 points in the first half. Thought this team would be better on defense. Game not over though. Can UL keep up the shots.
OO has negated everything good thing he did in the half.

Oweh‘s broke jumper is a death sentence in a game like this, they’re playing off of him, daring him to shoot.
Yup
Their D looks good because we don't have guys who win off the dribble and aren't a threat to shoot. Kansas made them look silly.
Peterson killed them and we don't have a Peterson. Otega's a nice role player, not a top 10 draft pick.
