Kentucky may be the best win of the season

That has never happened. Ever. As inept as Gamecock football has historically been, the Kentucky Wildcats have never been their best win of the season. This program has very few double-digit win streaks over any opponents all time. One of them (I don't remember who) doesn't even play football anymore its been so long. It's happened 2x against SEC opponents, UK and Vandy (not that you needed me to clarify that).

One of the annoying things about that 5 year streak that UK had over Scar was that a couple of times it was their best win of the season. Stoops and some fans at the time beat the chest a little bit, it was an accomplishment for them. I didn't get it, but I don't have to. Beating Kentucky has never felt like a high point, but here we potentially are.

Where's that ding-dong who used to talk about how Beamer was the best coach here to this point in time?

Maybe Beamer celebrated that way, I didn’t. And yep Stoops may. They are sitting at 5-5, improved as the season went.

Of course, for some of those years, the only reason Kentucky wasn't our best win is because we lost to them. In 1998, Ball State was our best (and only) win. In 1999, we didn't win a single game. So, yes, we've seen greater dysfunction than this year.
