Kentucky out of the running for Mullins

Dang he would be perfect but I’m guessing it’s not a surprise given the Lewis and Wilson news. That would be big.
I hope we get Lewis, because we will need him, unless somehow Mikel Brown decides to come. Jasper could be a lead guard, but he is not a PG right now. No offense to the Perry enthusiast’s, I want to see what he can do against high major competition, especially on the defensive end, before we give him the Raines in 25-26.
I heard the signing of Jasper was a deciding factor but I don’t know how true that is.
You hear a lot of things, and I don't know how much is actually true, but there will be stiff competition at any of the three schools he still has listed.
Sign Jasper , Moreno , Lewis, and Wilson and let’s go!!!!! Fill the rest with returnees and the portal and we will be ok. That’s still a top 5 class if not the top class!
Sounding more and more like Mullins and haralson to IU. Might even get Reibe too. Those four would look great in a Hurley or Pope style offense.
It seems like it was jasper or Mullins, and I don't blame pope for taking jasper. Some things are out of our control. Same with cenak, we'll lose him if we get Caleb Wilson. We lost reibe when we got Moreno. I'm ecstatic with pope's recruiting, even moreso if we land the wilson/Lewis combo.
Mea culpa on my end.... my guy told me we were going to get both JJ and Mullins, before and after we signed JJ, and I passed it on here....... oh well.
I really like Pope prioritizing Kentucky kids when they are highly skilled and can help the team. Looks like Kentucky has some good players coming up thru the ranks and I hope they all want to play for the Cats. Pope threw out a big net, and offered a lot of players, we aren’t getting them all.
Ill be honest if we get Wilson and Lewis that's 2 more impact frosh to go with Moreno and JJ. I would be totally happy with that class assuming we get Oweh, Garrison, Chandler, Perry and Noah back. Pope could work the portal for jr/sr PG and stretch 4 and still have 2 pieces to add to whatever he wants.

I read and listen to a lot of things so it’s hard to say.
It seems to be the case, his dad’s comments all but sealed it after the commitment.
At least he had options, the ones who wanna come choose it and we lose some. No problem, I just hope we got the right ones!
He will. UNC trip itself was good but the logistics of chapel hill wasn’t good from what I’ve heard.
Hate this!!! I’m gonna be the villain here but I’ll say it anyway, I would’ve taken Mullins over Jasper every day of the week. Mullins is a generational type shooter and I want every shooter that we can get. SMH. Oh well, gonna miss on some for sure.
Think about this. UK will have the most State kids they have had in a long while. IU will be state heavy and oh….IU vs UK at Rupp next year. The way it should be. 2 alum’s coaching.
Braylen's Dad alluded to the JJ commitment having an influence on the decision but then walked it back. Guess there was some truth to the initial comment.
It was . I would take Mullins over Jasper 7 days a week but you have to take the first one wanting to commit .
I really wanted Mullins, but I don't think he was coming to UK regardless of JJ's decision. So it worked out best for us (IMO)
Yeah I wish Mullins saw the upside and signed with us but I believe Pope will get someone superior. Every single basketball season you see multiple high level shooting guards. I believe their are other Mullins type of players in the World. He is not the only one that is blessed to shoot lights out. Let's be patient and see what comes out of the Big Blue Madness event. Hopefully will sign a stud or two.

We will probably never know. But we couldn’t ask Jasper to wait until Mullins decided. Good chance we would get neither.
It's kinda like finding a job. You have to give heavy consideration to the first one that offers. Because it's there. If you wait on another, you could lose out on both and be in a world of hurt.
