This is tragic, and it's good that the culprit quickly met justice.

But before the tarring and feathering of Black Lives Matter, it's worth pointing out that not only is there no increase in police deaths this year (82 January through August this year, compared to 84, 78, and 85 the previous 3 years), we're in a decades-long decrease in police deaths. I know certain media has been trying to push a "war on cops" narrative, but in reality there is no reason to believe that BLM is leading people to kill police, and there is certainly no increase in police deaths compared to a typical year. Sometimes, criminals shoot at cops. It's a terrible thing, and as expected those who do so face justice.

So are you saying more cops are hunting down and killing black men, which the Black Lives matters group was born from? Or could it be that people, white and black get killed by cops each year? You have excused every piece of **** that has murdered a cop, and still think Michael Brown was an innocent angel.

That Trooper as a youngster and young man had been to my home several times. My children knew him well. He was a respectful young man and had his head on right even back then.

This senseless stuff needs to be addressed in a national spotlight. Heck everything else is that most could give a crap about. Actions speak louder than words by our leaders. Our protectors need to be protected and immediately backed-up by our so-called leaders with an aggressive campaign. But, what do I know...

From a pure numbers standpoint, more whites are killed by blacks.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, from 1999-2011, data shows 2,151 whites died by being shot by police compared to 1,130 blacks.

There are 4 times as many whites as there are blacks, yet only twice as many deaths from being shot by police. I mean, it's irrelevant to this case as neither your point or mine changes the factors at play in that particular case, but blacks being shot at twice the rate (proportional to percentage of population) of whites isn't exactly evidence of no bias in policing methods.
