Pope going to the excuses. Why are his teams so soft?
Noah is pretty good defensively and can shoot. But, we didn’t have anyone playing defense tonight. We’re too slow to guard fast players like Wagner and Thiero. And our bigs couldn’t guard Z’s 3’s. Just got to forget this game.
Meh, meant the same for all involved, the better talent and better coached team won. Simple
Love Pope too but he better get it together if he wants a long career as a coach here. I mean we’re 6-1 against top 15 but it’s the loses to Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia , Vanderbilt, and now Arkansas that just doesn’t sit right. I mean you have 6 great wins but you have 5 crap losses!

Pope is now 1-4 in the last four games. This is a massive turd on the resume. This is the one game UK fans didn't want to lose, and for Pope to make no adjustments is awful. He deserves all the crap coming his way. The honeymoon is over--nostalgia doesn't win games.
This team just not that good. Not athletic enough to make a run. Coach spends time on a game plan and we are toast. If we don’t hit shots at a big clip we are toast. Even with Butler and Carr we lose this game, they are just too athletic. Our defense is garbage. Marks sub patterns are ******* pathetic and puzzling as hell.
They’re gonna give up 90 to a terrible offensive team. You think his defense helped? Play someone that isn’t akin to a JV player in offense. The teams defense is ****** whether Chandler is in the floor or not.
I feel as pissed as I was when we lost to Oakland. This is an absolute embarrassment and takes some shine off of Pope snd this team. Like it or not, BBN does not forget.
I can't believe either of the two freshmen were talked about being as good as Sheppard.
They deserve to gloat, we played so fkn bad. Pope was outcoached too.
No, f&ck that, we LET Cal do this. We left shooters open all game. Pope had all season to fix this defense and he didn't do it.
This right here is ******** and not good enough. There is no reason to be this bad defensively and since we are 21 games in, it is what it is, we just suck and apparently it's not getting any better.
This cost us a seed line and a lot of **** eating. Glad we have fans that are good with it. I'm not. until Pope proves he can coach defense, I'm out.
That's what I'm wondering. I like that he's so nice off the court, but you need to teach fire and viciousness on the court.
Injuries my ***, it is NO defense that lost this game. If you can't get stops, you will always struggle.

Why not? Especially when Pope prepares like he did against Tennessee…let ‘em shoot ‘em and hope they miss. Tennessee missed but Arkansas didn’t.
It’s not. He has absolutely shortened the fans’ patience tonight. This game cost him far more favor than the Georgia or Ohio State losses, and you know it. This was THE must win game this season even before it started. This loss will leave lasting disgust from the fan base.
This Kentucky team is going to win 20. I said 9-9 at the beginning of the year and I stick by that.
I'm over the Butler thing. It's been over a month since he's done anything and he's not gonna safe us from a free fall. This loss takes my interest away on the first day of February. Don't give 2 fuks about the Ole Miss game now. Cats can go to Mississippi and play like the losers they are. I'll find something else to do
Gotta listen to Jerome Tang and go get dawgs. Pope has many great attributes as a coach but this team gets out toughed every single time they lose and that's an extension of him. Otega is the only cornerstone I feel comfortable rolling with. Garrison is bad more than he's good. Perry + Chandler + Noah are young and can improve but not sure I'd like them to be anything more than 11th/12th/13th men. This freshman class coming in is talented but kinda soft. Need to bring in 4-5 dawgs.
This is a giant **** sandwich no doubt, but this season is far from over.
I am angry too, but how do you anticipate that a bunch of none shooting players would have their best 3 point shooting game on the road?
